MS State made the best hire last year. The guy teaches elite defense. Yall need to start selling out the HUMP or he won't be there long. I could see a school in the next tier after blue bloods go after him if they ever have an opening.

Our crowds have improved I expect a good crowd for Kentucky now that we are winning big games.
He is a great coach and I hope we can keep him. Boosters need to start investing in basketball facilities. Baseball is top notch and football has improved greatly. The Hump needs a makeover. Jans can build something special if we support the program
I’d like to see us get the level of talent again that Stansbury recruited. Imagine a coach like Jan’s with players like Dee Bost, Armett Moultrie, etc
I’m still pissed Stansbury ruined that team. He gave us some good years but we had final four talent many seasons that was squandered. Like in 2004 where we went 26-4 and lost in the 2nd round

State fans may outnumber Ole Miss fans in the game in Oxford next Saturday.

Basketball facilities are overrated, at least for the coliseums they play in. The players couldn't care less if the coliseum has a club level or fans can see the court while they eat.
Give them a loud crowd, a nice practice facility, and nice locker rooms and they're good. Some of the best programs have old coliseums.

I think a nicer coliseum creates a more attractive venue for fans leading to better crowds and atmosphere

Crowds have been large w/Bama & Ole Miss being sell outs. TCU, Missouri and LSU all had large crowds.
UK will be a sellout. Fans appreciate how our team is playing this year.
He will be at State for a long while.
The Hump is undergoing a very nice renovation and will be a superb arena when it is finished. As a matter of fact all the consultants said the seating bowl was already as good as you can engineer. That is why there is a renovation instead of a new arena.
It is already very loud coliseum and with this refurbishment is finished we will be set for the future.
The practice facility is first class.
The future looks bright at State.

I didn’t know about the renovation that’s great news!
Need to move student section back to courtside not behind the goals that would help atmosphere. Plus optics on tv, student section can be packed but arena look empty on tv on midweek games where regular fans don’t show up in large numbers

The old student section was perfect. About a quarter of the lower deck was for the students, from mid court to around the basket. Plus our students were behind the opponents goal in the second half.
The current arrangement is horrible.
And, back then, the student section upper deck mirrored the lower deck. It created a great home court advantage and atmosphere.
Hopefully the powers that be will rectify this going forward.

I watch almost every game in every major sport including women’s basketball. I just haven’t followed any recent announcements on facilities
