We judge coaches differently. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, just indicating we have different criteria. Saban was good at LSU and great at 'Bama, 2 schools with immense talent easily recruited. Any good coach should be able to win at those schools. However, go look at Saban's teams BEFORE LSU. He was having 5-6 and 6-6 seasons like lots of other coaches. Saban has won tons of games but ask yourself this, how many times has Saban taken the field with a less talented team than his opponents. Basically, Saban has beat the teams he should. Before the large talent gap, he was getting beat like most other coaches.

Meyer had an undefeated season at Utah, BEFORE he went to a big-time program like UF. His offenses have been good EVERYWHERE he's been. He won 2 titles at UF and was an ELITE recruiter as well as ANY coach in CFB. Goes to Ohio St., goes undefeated (no bowl game due to prior ban), then wins a title there too. Saban has only proven to be elite when he has big-time talent, Meyer has proven elite with or without.

I think a lot of fans sleep on Meyer and nobody dare say any coach is possibly better than Saban. UM's history speaks for itself. Dude was more elite than Saban before getting a gig at schools that are powerhouses.

LSU has always had talent, it was magnified once hiring Saban. Again, he's an elite recruiter and built the LSU program. But they had talent going there before him. Hell, Eddie Robinson is the winningest head coach in HBCU (once all CFB) history and he coached at Grambling. Once Grambling started losing talent and those players started going to LSU, that's when LSU started improving.

What parent in their right mind would trust their top end player son to Meyer considering his highly abusive track record?

Players are going to the highest bidders and you think parents and recruits are worried about UM's track record?

The only thing they're worried about is $$$$, their ability to develop, and their chances at playing at the next level. They don't care about the shite that you think they do. UM is ELITE in recruiting and coaching. Don't take my word, go research him. Look at BEFORE he got to UF. Look at those programs records before and after hiring him as the HC.

UM is 1 coach that for sure would completely turn that program into a powerhouse! I'm an LSU fan and would HATE to see him hired there.
