I can get them right here in the middle of Atlanta. Good ones too. Within a five minute shuttle ride and a fifteen minute walk of my apartment.

My apartment complex has a dock on mobile bay. It's a big complex but I'm right by the dock

My goal for this week is to get in the smallies. Having a lake house on the TN river will aid greatly in this goal

I've fished the Tennessee a couple of times, and never had great luck, but I know several people that have caught their biggest smallie on it. One of my dad's best friend caught a 7 pounder a couple of years ago not far from Huntsville trolling. TBH, trolling isn't my preferred method, but if I thought I would get a 7 pounder I would be all over it.

I take it you've never been to Atlanta? Civilized?

It's the dirty south.

Excuse the stupidass look on my face. This little fish is the highlight of my fishing career. Yes, I've caught bigger fish, but nothing beats a 6lb smallie.

Lucky SOB. I'm going to try to get with my big brother (not an actual brother obviously) to go down there and fish sometime pretty soon.

Nah, been through/to there lots of times, actually.

And trust me, compared to Altus, OK, the ATL might as well be New York fricking City

shite, that makes Auburn-Opelika seem like a big arse city.

We've got TWO Wal-Marts and a Target.

And just recently a Gander Mtn.

My last inshore trip in PC. I spent 6 years though so know the spots, I'm just starting to find them in mobile bay

Not sure why I'm posting this other than for the hell of it. Caught this 4 pounder on a floating 12" lizard in a pond in Orlando. Always a good time fishing down there

ETA: That's a 3.5 lb smallmouth caught in Maine, and is still my biggest. I hope to best it one day, but I have no idea when I'll get another chance.
