Of course it matters?

Never did I say it did, however the sentiment is the same. The Heisman usually goes to an undefeated team's best player or one of the very top record-wise. So it's ok too look deeper into the minutiae of things beyond leading a team to being undefeated when it comes to your ox getting gored but not when it comes to your rivals?

Not really.

When you compare an individual award, you look at the individual performance, not the team's record.

In a way, their individual statistics are their "record."

A defensive end is playing well if he has 10 sacks, not if he's 10-0.

Every top 12 team for that matter plays a real game. We get the Jesus study group.

Now, now...we have learned that being undefeated is all that matters purportedly these days so consider them a powerhouse and watch out!

LMAO…Texas has never played in a CFP game and here there fans are posting like their team is worthy…here’s a secret…you’re in because ESPN wanted Bama…otherwise you’d be out. how embarrassing.

Ahh ok, now we are getting somewhere...so when a big consideration that nobody(except some Bama hater fans in 2023) has a problem with, strength of schedule comes into play in the formula and you have a team with a top 5 SOS vs #55 SOS in a close call and it is supposed to be ignored in the favor of the team that wound up undefeated by virtue of playing a much weaker schedule because the team with a loss due to a much tougher schedule is named Alabama???

You keep saying this but historically THIS TEAM RECORD MATTERS with the Heisman Trophy just as much as going undefeated on the team level. Why is this so hard for you to understand? I don't have a problem with JD winning it because I feel he is the best but the same argument can't be used in favor of him then applied in a 180 degree manner when it comes to a team/situation you don't like, and remain consistent in your line of rationale.

You didn't in because of strength of schedule, you got in because Travis broke his leg.

No it doesn't, there's been multiple Heisman winners with 3 losses.

We were the only ones who were kind enough to entertain your program. Be thankful.

Both were factors but all we hear about is the side of it that makes FSU look like the victim of a grave injustice because the team which benefitted was named Alabama and has had many years of spoils based off the success of the program.

Hmm, if you weren't in such a hurry to have all the right answers because you know it all, you would see the wording I used which was USUALLY the team record factors in to the Heisman race. A few have been able to over come it but in a close call, it usually favors the team with the better record and even more with a much better record. We can dissect this if you want but the point is I am dropping fact bombs here and you can't handle them and come back with half-baked retorts because you are too eager to cry about Alabama getting in this year.

At least have the decency to proudly display the aggy logo when you post nonsense like this. Own it son, it's who you are.

If you don’t think Texas is one of the top 4 teams in the country you are crazy. How does ESPN explain Texas being ranked 3rd in the AP and tied for fourth in coaches? Just wear your Aggie badge with pride man. It is okay.
