I didn't say it wasn't good, I said I'm not sold YET on it being GREAT. Too early to tell based on the offenses you've played. And if you like YPG, then like I pointed out you still haven't played the top 6 ypg teams in the SEC.

That will happen next year. With the underclassmen playing on our D, watch out next year and the year after. Although we will be losing 3 studs in Nevis, Sheppard and PP7.

LSU's defense is 3rd in the country and has played a more difficult schedule than either of the teams ranked ahead of it.

As far as the SEC goes, it's ranked first in total, rushing, and pass defense, second in scoring defense, second in amount of fumbles forced, second in tackles for loss, third in interceptions, and third in pass efficiency defense.

And LSU ranks third in time of possession, a telling stat given LSU's offensive woes for the first four games.

Yes Virginia, there is a great defense at LSU.

If you think that LSU's defense isn't legit then you're an idiot

Nevis, Shep, and PP are all top 5 players at their respective positions in the entire country. Claiborne has been solid at the other corner position as well.

LSU has probably the best secondary in the country and plenty of depth on the D-line.

Why would I have to read the entire thread? The comment I made was directly related to you idiotically starting this thread while having no clue what you were talking about. Whatever crawfishing you do afterwards is irrelevant.

Florida is not even a good offensive team

I know. I've been saying that for weeks and was actually attacked by some of your peers for posting it here following the Bama/UF game. They only had two sustained drives the entire game against LSU though. Hardly a poor defensive performance.

No! Not any better than duke, who has at least played more than one decent team like Miami and Alabama and are still averaging more ypg than west virginia.

West Viginia put up 177 yards against you. Duke put up 302 against us. And we played the second and third string D the WHOLE second half.

You say that Duke is an amazing offensive team, and I'll say West Virgina is. Deal?

We can replace Nevis, and we already have replaced PP with Tyrann Mathieu. It's Sheppard that will be the most difficult to replace.

No sale. Not when comparing the rest of the two team's schedules.

The rest of WV schedule besides LSU

Coastal Carolina
Maryland
Marshall
UNLV
South Florida

The rest of Duke's schedule besides Bama

Elon
Wake Forest
Army
Maryland
Miami

I'm pretty sure Duke's had the tougher schedule.

Then you'd be wrong. WVU's past opponents are rated at 56, Duke's at 66.

I just don't wanna hear about how great Cam is when he actually puts some yards up on ya'll. Personally I do think LSU's D is probably the best in the SEC, but most of the defense's are down this year.

This defense is just as good as Bama's from last year. It's probably as good as our 2003 team.

Regardless of how good or bad the offenses are that LSU has faced, every team has had a lower yards per play average against us than their season average and only North Carolina has had more total yards than their season average.

I didn't say LSU doesn't play better with Lee at QB, I just said the LSU fans who believe he his a good QB, have an artificially low standard due to having to endure so much of JJ. By the way, in the last three games Lee has 2 TDs and 1 interception with average passing yards and a pretty good completion percentage. The stats prove he is an average QB, but compared to JJ, some LSU fans are fooled into believing he is good.

You do realize that hes literally playing less than every other series right? Of course he doesn't have the yards or td's. It's amazing what hes done with the little he's had.

I understand his playing time issues (although it could be argued that his limited playing time has resulted in limited mistakes, but that is a different discussion). I guess we just see it diferently, but the fact remains, he has 2 TDs and 1 Int. with 50 passing attempts. In my book, that doesn't = good QB, just a hell of a lot better than JJ.

So let's say Cam Newton leads the team down the field 6 times during the game.. to the 1 yard line. Dyer then runs the ball into the endzone. Dyer did all the work. Dyer is the one carrying the load.

See how stupid that sounds?

They gave up 24 points to a depleted UNC

1) The offense wasn't depleted.
2) The softened us up with that 97 yard TD pass, which was a mistake by a SO corner making his first start. After that play, we went into a soft zone so we wouldn't get burned again.
