Just caught a whopper. I thought it was a snakehead at first glance, but their didn't have a continuous bottom fin(thank God). Turns out it was a native dogfish called a bowfin.

Still a trash fish and will bite.
Glad it wasn't a snakehead....those things are scary.

Nah, not exactly...

At my High School we always had Freshman Friday where the Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors gave the Freshmen hell...

I know right? That was caught in my backyard pond. My dogs went swimming in it just yesterday. So happy it wasn't a snakehead, but I still killed it, because they have had some attack dogs(supposidly( in another nearby lake, and he bent the treble hooks on my lure

I'm an excellent fisherwoman. I used to slay flounders down here....my ex would get so mad at me because he never caught one....

I caught my first one on a rod and reel he had rigged up for bass fishing....with a pink crawfish Gulp! bait that I had to have because it was pretty. He tried to tell me I wasn't going to catch ish with it. Mad skills over here.

You have a pond in your backyard. Jealous.

Dogfish that bites dogs....wow. I bet it was at least a little fun to reel in.

My buddy went fishing in his pond yesterday and caught a 18 pound catfish. Keep in mind, this pond is about 20x20 feet, and he's never placed any big fish in there just to catch them later. That fish, along with some others, have been in there forever. He said he thought it was a turtle when he first saw it pop out of the water.

Indeed. Just a small man made one.

Idk of they bit a dog or not, they caught a piranha in that lake before(not my pond). Idk if it would be on google, but it was Johnson park in collierville TN.

I mainly killed it because it's teeth ruined my lure.

Here is the pond.

Oh.

Well the Freshman out our school get off easy. They are a part of the "Freshman Academy", which is kept separate from the rest of the high school. But they just started that last year. When I was a freshman, I had classes with Seniors and caught hell all the time. All in good fun, I now know.

Really? Thought they said piranha. Oh well. Either way that thing shouldn't have been in there

I hate it when people think releasing a pet in a pond is a good thing.

He was pissed! I was fishing in some channel while we were camping. He thought I was stuck on the bottom and I was like "I know it's a fish...I know it is"....When it came up he was like "how did it feel reeling that in....I've never caught one" with the saddest face ever.....

Pacu and piranha look alike. Pacu have dull humanoid teeth though.
