Competition matters. No offense, Alabama.

They've beaten 7-win Indiana as well.

LSU has the resume. Ohio State has the eye test.
The eye test is often wrong. We'll see. Not important at this phase.

I think the committee should’ve ranked LSU #1 over OSU (I’m biased of course but we’re a great team) but I’m not flipping out about it bc
-better SOS than LSU
-defeated Cincinnati, Michigan State (ranked at the time), and Wisconsin all in blowouts
-better scoring D than LSU
-no. 2 overall D, no. 1 against the pass, top 10 against the run
-Justin Fields, JK Dobbins, Chase Young

It’s not really difficult to understand why they outrank LSU at this juncture

If the big ten is really good I am with it but at least half the analysts think big ten is as bad or worse than PAC 12. Time will tell

Have you even watched Ohio State play? Ohio State has 3 players in the Heisman race right now

Young is who is being pushed

That's ridiculous. He's no Honey Badger.

Hell, he's no Dorsasauris pre-Auburn hack job.

LSU has beaten Florida, Texas, and Auburn.

The committee says that Wisconsin is as good as any win LSU currently has, and that Cincinnati is a better win than Texas. Let's not act like LSU has played a superior schedule. In fact, Ohio State has a better strength of schedule right now.

Try letting that happen before melting about it.

I'm surprised OSU is #1, but it's probably the right call. No other team comes close to matching The Bucknuts statistically.

Florida lost to LSU and Georgia.

Auburn lost to LSU and Florida.

Texas lost to LSU, Oklahoma, and TCU.

Wisconsin lost to OSU and....Illinois.

Seems equal.

**Didn't look up cincy schedule. Not interested in G5 teams for this discussion.

Who cares. Just be in the top 4 and that's all that matters. My gosh.

Just want to revisit this statement.

LSU's two best wins according to the committee are ranked 10 and 11.

OSU's two best are ranked 13 and 20.

Already OSU is trailing here.

Where is third best ranked? LSU's is Texas.

What is OSU's third best? Honestly want an answer because I don't know. Iowa? Indiana?

Looking ahead to the coming weeks:

LSU gets Alabama. OSU gets Maryland.

LSu then gets Ole Miss. OSU gets Rutgers.

LSU gets Arky (last week when Ohio State played Rutgers, this may have been a wash) OSU gets an actual team: Penn State. This is assuming Franklin doesn't do what he normally does and fricks it up before hand.

Last week is LSU and aggy, OSU and Michigan. This is a wash. OSU has a better chance of losing this week though. I doubt they do.

So looking at the past, and what's to come, how can you possibly make the claim that OSU has the better resume?

Eye test? Okay. You can have that.

Just be patient. The winner of LSU vs. Alabama will leapfrog them.

The Texas win really doesn’t matter , they are un ranked. LSU has wins over #11 & #10 versus wins over #13 & #20. This means the committee must think the group from 10-20 is pretty close.

I think what won out is OSU’s control of their games, they just look the part on both sides of the ball.

Remember what some considering top 10 wins based on the AP or Coaches poll; does not matter... those polls are not used as data.

Plus it’s never made sense to me to give a team a top 10 win, when that team has 3 losses. The win should only count based in where that team sits currently.

So basically, everything I said was exactly correct.

Thanks for the update.

1. Ohio State
2. LSU

Get over it. I'm sure it will change several times.
