And that's part of what's wrong with this country.

We're not United on any front in this country. It starts in Congress and trickles down all the way to people making asses of themselves on Facebook.

Sticking to party lines no matter what. No compromise or cooperation between parties. Unstoppable force meets the immovable object.

And this is one of the things that frustrates me. There are probably people out there not even trying to get jobs on unemployment and living better than you are.

Unemployment has a place, but is abused and misused too often. There are probably quite a few people on unemployment that are less deserving than you.

I couldn't have said this better myself

Let patients and doctors directly negotiate payments.

Good in theory, but if you have an emergency you're not shopping for the best price.

When it comes to typical doctors visits, you're certainly right. I don't think insurance should cover those visits, you pay out of pocket. There are other things we can do to make that better, and yes get the government spending less money on it and have better care for all.

Reform welfare, again, since Barry has undone everything from the 90s

Hard to keep the job requirements when people can't get work and need some help. Plus, he just threw it back to the states to decide. The recession is the reason for the boom in spending on welfare.

Look, we need to take a serious look at how to reform welfare but it's really not a huge part of the budget.

I agree with you on all of this really in theory, I just need to find the devil in the details before we go and do it.

I hate watching people sing and shite because their candidate won. I would be just as irritated at the immature behavior if Romney or Johnson had won.

and I would be saying the same shite. Neither candidate winning has anything to do with AU tradition.

I'll play Devil's Advocate:

It's a way of celebrating something happening exciting in Auburn, and for these people, this is a victory for them that is bigger than Auburn. They aren't standing in the roads rolling it, and other than some people being drunk and yelling hateful things at them most likely, let em. It's not the end of the world.
