BTW, MSU made a bowl under Mullen every year except his first season. He had a .600 winning percentage

He did that 83 miles from Nick Saban. The closest 2 SEC schools in terms of proximity.

I'm going to ignore all the evidence that Mullen is a good coach and agree with the mutt and the pig (strange bed fellows).

Mullen sucks!

UF fricked!

UCF stealing all our best recruits.

Yeah winning in the toughest division in football at MSU is totally the same thing as winning in that juggernaut of a conference at CSU. Do you guys think before you type?

Same? No. Similar? Yes. Boise state is the Bama of that conference. It's very tough to win it.

Also, Stop trying to make the west out to be a division of greatness. It's usually just Bama and a bunch of preseason overranked teams.

I didn't say stealing recruits. I pointed out that they are getting more attractive. Everyone wants recruits from Florida and those smaller schools have been more impressive than Florida lately. Sure they're in a smaller conference, but they are getting into the talent pool and picking up some good recruits.

why you are defending Mac so much. It's strange.

I am poking holes in contradicting points being made that defend Mullen and knock Mac. You are stuck with a hindsight view and forgetting that Winning 10 at csu ain't easy. A bad coach ain't gonna do that.

And again, smaller schools in Florida are taking that talent away and are becoming more desirable than UF.

1) UCF isn't taking anyone that UF wants
2) UCF is not becoming more desirable than UF

Honest question, is it because you live in Florida and follow recruiting here that led you to form the opinion that UCF is somehow passing up UF in the minds of recruits?

You live in Florida, right? You follow the recruits around these parts closely, right?

If not, where are you getting this incorrect opinion?

I assure you, recruits aren't putting USF and UCF in the same league as UF. Sure, there may be an exception here or there from a kid that is just different but the overwhelming majority want the SEC because they know it's the best conference and a great road to their NFL dreams.

TL/DR: You are wrong.

Did you know he make a bowl in 2016 with only 5 wins?

Is Mac a good coach? If he were available during your coaching hire and your current coach wasn't would you have wanted him?

There's your answer. You should ask Mac for a date.

ETA: I've filled my weekly quota responding to Gator haters with no sense (all of them).

Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!

There was no reason to think Mac wasn't a good coach when he was hired. What happened after is irrelevant to my point.

As an outsider, Macs problems seemed to stem from off the field issues and personality clashes rather than an inability to coach the game.

Would you have had Mac high on your list of coaches you wanted at UG?

Now I've gone over my Gator hater quota. Damnit.

Wut?

Should I bust out our offensive rankings and declining defensive rankings to offer up as evidence???

I think it's well known that he sucks by now.

A: They are in no way similar, like not even close.

B: If you think the SEC West wasn’t the best division in football during Mullen's run at Mississippi State you’ve either been living under a rock, or you have an agenda you are trying to push. Either way you’re wrong.

You should have just sat this out and let the UGA fan play devil's advocate to UF. He's made good points. As opposed to this drivel

No and I wouldn't have had Mullen either, so not sure what your point is.

Macs problem was he couldn’t recruit and he wouldn’t kick Nuss to the curb and hire a real OC, Or call his own plays. The recruiting would have got him in the end regardless. Maybe the worst recruiting staff we’ve ever had.

I'm bowing out of this thread.

Good Luck to Dan and the Gators

It's gonna be a tough road with the monster that Kirby has created in the East.

One of the biggest questions is can Mullen recruit. That's one thing you Florida fans aren't thinking about. He is known as a very lax recruiter and have heard his recruiting efforts suck.
