Besides Ole Miss fans, who isn't calling it an automatic win for Miss. State?

People who are calling for a State win either:

1) Don't understand the egg bowl
2) Hate Ole Miss
3) Blinded by 5-7 Mullen

Let me help you ignorant fools

1) State hasn't won in Oxford since 98 and has been humiliated twice in that span.

2) Question interlude- Why do you hate us? We haven't won shite since the 70s. Hate a more conceivable threat towards achieving your program goals (ie Bammer, LSU, etc)

3) Mullen hasn't won a big game yet. Period (We weren't that good last year). MSU doesn't recruit any high-profile out of state players. The last out of state 4-star MSU signed was ~8-10 years ago, and he didn't even play. MSU isn't on the map nationally whatsoever. Fact. They have no appeal outside the state of Mississippi. Long story short, the odds are stacked against them for competing in the West in the future.

You're welcome for the insight, SEC Rant.

Actually in the last 8 years we have had 2 five stars and 4 four stars from out of state.

Nice try though

Oh, I absolutely LOVE this. Let's look at the impact Mullen's classes have/will have, shall we?

Pernell McPhee-starter, All SEC, possibly high NFL draft pick
Chad Bumphis-All Freshmen SEC, starter, true #1 recevier(OM doesnt have this btw)
Fletcher Cox- All freshmen SEC, starter, one of the most talented young DLs in the conference
Jonathan Banks-All freshmen SEC, starter, made Tebow his bitch
Leon Berry-possible starter, one of the SEC's top returners
Brandon Heavens(from Bama)-possible starter, impact player last year
Josh Boyd-possible starter, played last year
Chris White-two year starter
Montrell Conner(big time LA prospect btw)-possible starter at RB
Vick Ballard-probable starter at RB
James Carmon-possible starter, maybe the most talked about JUCO player in the conference

What a horrible job, fire Mullen.

Honestly, you'll be hard pressed to find a class make as much of a positive impact as the 2009 did, and we'll get a solid impact from 2010 as well. And we sitll have guys like Chris Smith, Ricco Sanders, Dennis Thames, Nickoe Whitley, LaDarius Perkins who will play this year.
You can masturbate to the locations of your recruits all day, but id they don't qualify and get on the field it doesn't matter. Our 2009 class had as much of an impact as probably any class in the country.

Like he said thought State hasn't won a big game... and you only listed 5 players that are starters and several guys who haven't even played a single down for you yet..

You don't have to be a starter to gain valuable playing time.

If we had a decent QB last year we could have easily won that LSU game. Our team more than proved they could hang last year.

Sorry for the miscount, we have actually had ONE five star and SEVEN four stars from out of state since 2002.

Montrell Conner- Monroe, LA

Josh Riddell- Los Altos, CA

Adrian Griffin- LaGrange, GA

Eric Fuller- Independence, KA

Keith Andrews- Monroe, LA 5 STAR

Marvin Byrdsong- Longview, TX

Nick Turner- Atlanta, GA

Manuel Dickson- Milledgeville, GA

Again, nice try.
