Hey! You too. Hopefully you'll have a good time on the Eve/Day, and a great time the rest of the year.

We have several oaks around here that big. One in my front yard.

The one that was just a little to the left (out of the picture) was one of my favorites in our neighborhood. The leaves would turn into a bright golden color in the fall. It got struck by lightning a couple years ago and hasn't been the same since.

You wouldn't know it unless you've lived in a place like this, but you never know how much you really miss seeing big trees when they're not around.

I understand. Granted I've never lived anywhere else but here but I love the foliage here. I think it's a unique thing considering I'm in a bigger city too.

We've got zero trees and we don't even have a nice beach to go to. It's just brutal.

Luckily I'm 30 45 minutes away from a big alpine forest with snow when I need to get out of the desert.

I think I'd go crazy without trees.

I've already gone. You should join those of us that have. It's a hell of a time.

I was in an area of town about 40 minutes from my house a week or so ago just wasting time. It's older, so there's a few big arse trees. I literally got the desire to climb one of them because it's just what I felt like doing.

If I wasn't an injured old 30 year old man I'd have probably done it. Seriously, it's been about a year.

Biggest shite growing from the ground here is palm trees, and they don't count.

ETA: I do have a few trees in my front yard that shed their leaves for the winter. It happened a week or two ago and was beautiful before the landscapers cleared them out.

Anyone else think James Taylor is a little overlooked at times? Pretty solid musician. Nowhere near my favorite, but Carolina In My Mind came on when I was riding back home tonight and got me wondering.

A new place for my drunk ramblings since they killed the OT thread I liked.

james Taylor is one of my staples for karaoke when I'm stupid drunk and trying to impress the crowd with my lyrical prowess. No real background vocals or musical accompaniment. Always gets a response from the comatose gambling bastards.

I'm old though.
