Here is what EDSBS has to say:
quote:

If sense and intelilgence desert you and let you think this is possible, consider this: even if LSU was given the ball back after the interception, Alabama would have had to wait two, possibly three passes before Jarrett Lee threw the game-winning TD. For Alabama.

More important question for LSU fans, was Jarret Lee more likely to throw a pick six, after being a backup this year, or was he more likely to win the game.

Note that he was 1/7. So I think the refs did LSU a favor, since their D was most likely to score in their position. Jackass refs, that was obviously their possesion.

(OK I admit, whenever he threw the ball I cheered.)

After reading that article, I'm more convinced there is a conspiracy.

link to any LSU fan who has asserted or even insinuated we WOULD CERTAINLY have won if we had gotten that call, or GTFO, flamer.

we didn't get our opportunity at a game winning drive, which we had rightly earned. period.

FWIW, Miles hinted that Jefferson would have likely come back in for the final drive.

no biased opinions from an alabama website huh?

if gumps complain that lsu fans are whining why do they continue to start threads that induce whines? this is textbook flaming and said posters should be banned immediately.

Passive-aggressive is actually a good description of me. Though the aggressiveness comes from the giant power of anonymity granted toward me by the internet. I hate on people for the fun of it i guess.

wow what an idiot...first off if you go back and watch the interception in slow motion its clear that julio never touched the ball so its not dead although his hand is inches away. petersons foot was in bounds, had control which makes it a completion not an incompletion which was ruled on field...

oh and for us COCSPIRACY THEROISTS...i wonder if he knows that the sec gets over 30 million if two teams get in a bcs bowl and over 15 milion if one gets in...

look at the lsu v florida, alabama v tenn, arkansas v florida and lsu v alabama games and tell me that the altimate goal is to have alabama and florida win no matter the situation...blown non calls and BS calls on opponents of florida and alabama....

know your shite before you talk dumb gumps

Bama+refs=conspiracy? That's why, the week before the Bama-UT game, in a game where Bama only led by 7 until about 5:00 left in the game, Bama had almost 120 yards in penalties compared to about 60 for South Carolina.

Conspiracy? That kind of thinking is what happens when you give a hillbilly a little education.

Did you play that game in Toothaloser or Columbus? Hmmmm

There was some stats released after the LSU game about the lopsided penalty ratio from your Tenn and LSU games. Both home games for you.

Watch how many penalties you get on the road.

Funny how that works.

FWIW, Jefferson hinted that he had had enough of a beating and that he didn't want any more of Dareus, McClain, and Arenas.

Hey, numbnuts, we didn't play Ohio State.

We played South Carolina in Tuscaloosa. Which you would have known if you weren't too lazy to check for yourself.

Does your mama know you're up this late?

Columbus = Columbia

No. My mother doesn't know I'm up this late. However, can you knock on your mom's door and ask my dad if he'll be home in time to take me to school in the morning?

Overall penalties are not the issues... It's critical penalties that kill and also harder to detect kinda like point shaving/
