504stayfunky is your typical liberal, when he hears the truth he shouts racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe!!! You know you've won an argument with a liberal when they do that.

For the people aghast at others who do not support the gay agenda....

I am not pro gay. I do not support the gay lifestyle. I am a Christian and I do believe that it is a sin. However, I do not believe they should be treated any differently than any other sinner...myself included. They should not be harassed, mocked, or treated badly by anyone. No more so than any other person. As a Christian I have to remember that I am not perfect and have sin in my life, too. I want forgiveness and understanding just like everybody else.

I think MOST Christians bristle, because we feel like we are being harassed into accepting a lifestyle that is contrary to our beliefs. We are being mocked and made fun of for our own way of living while the world defends and protects the gay lifestyle. Seems pretty hypocritical

Congrats that makes you a bigot.

And how does this make me a bigot by definition, pray tell?

Congratulations on incorrectly calling someone out.

How does not supporting the lifestyle equate to me hating them, or unfairly disliking them? I don't hate homosexuals. The Bible says we should hate the sin, but love the sinner. I may not care for what they do, but I certainly do NOT hate them, or even dislike them. Disliking their actions do not make me a bigot....unless you can show me otherwise.

It's fine for someone to not actively support a lifestyle/activity. They should be completely free to not take part or contribute to something. The problem is when they attempt to intervene in the lives of others, and thus force their views upon them.

As long as he doesn't cross that threshold, I wouldn't necessarily classify him as a bigot.

Thank you, Yintros. I know we don't necessarily see eye to eye on the subject, I appreciate your being fair and looking at it from an objective viewpoint.

OP Alot of people are tired of having non christian values promoted/ exemplified by the media. Especially when we are just trying to watch sports. We just want to watch sports center and see highlights. The guy has yet to play a down of pro football if he's does well on the field - good for his career. If not too bad move on with life. This is another reason America is growing weaker we are too worried about sexual preference and being politically correct.

Do you support the Christian lifestyle? If not, are you a religious bigot?

Congrats on compounding your idiocy with an attempted defense of it.

Also, lol at people immediately assuming I'm a liberal because I'm not anti-gay. Not all conservatives are close minded and dislike people because they are different.

Yet you assumed someone was a bigot when they really gave no evidence of being one.

Pedophiles are different. Do you dislike them, or just their sexual behavior?

That's been the case for 14 or so years now. The network sucks outside of the actual games and even those are starting to get bad.

It's not about sports and hasn't been for a long time and it's hard to take their analysis of anything seriously.

Not reading the whole thread but I sure liked this post.

Food for thought :
The English Patient was on today and it was well received when made. When watching it I thought the movie was odd in there was a woman on such a venture pre WW I so I read up and found they had taken liberties with the movie. The most glaring was that he was a ruthless spy (sorta spoils the "did it for love angle") but the bigger revelation was that his lover in real life was not a woman but a man.

Now here is the point. If they made it as a gay couple does it still sell all those tickets or get all the Academy Award talk it did? Wether the hetero lifestyle is correct or not is not the issue. That it controls the majority of the population and they buy the tickets does. The media may market a segment of product to the gay crowd to attract those dollars but in the end they will want the biggest slice of the market as that is where they make the big money.

Is anyone truly outraged?
I mean, I can see being disgusted, annoyed, indifferent, and/or surprised … but outraged?

OOOoooooOOOO! Nice catch, 808! Wish I'da thought of that. It still surprises me when someone says if you do not support the homosexual lifestyle, then by extension you hate them...or are a bigot, or something. The main one is when people say if you do not support the lifestyle you hate homosexuals. Where does that come from anyway?

Anyway...thanks for the catch! Wish I had thought of that!

Nobody (at least not me) said they dislike homosexuals. can you show me where I said that? I am confused why you insist on labeling my thoughts.

You say you support the Christian lifestyle. Do you attend church regularly? Read the Bible or pray regularly? These are things that are the "Christian Lifestyle".

One last question. What is your opinion of what is being "anti-gay"? I mean....do you believe if you do not promote the lifestyle you are being anti-gay? And by saying anti gay, do you mean we are dislike gay people, or gay acts?

I think his point is...you dislike the fact that they victimize children...thus, their behavior.

You think if they had shown Brittney Griner in a PDA moment with her SO, folks would've been quiet?

Yep, it's a sinful behavior, just like homosexuality. Just because 2 people agree to engage in that behavior, and it's legal in the nation they live in, doesn't mean I don't find it just as disgusting. Even if it became legal in the U.S., I wouldn't want to see a 50 year old man make out with a 9 year old girl on TV. Abortion also victimizes children, but I don't hate the abortionist or the pregnant woman, although Gosnell makes that tough, just their behavior. I would find watching an abortion disgusting, also.

Was her SO a lipstick? If so, hell yeah. It would be like a dude kissing a hot babe.
