Okay. I'll go sit with our 11 sec championships and 3 national championships. Have fun with your cotton bowl victory though

Arkansas and Florida are the only 2 teams in the SEC to have a natty in both Football and Basketball.

So a total of two (1claimed) championships makes you part of this big 2? Are you sure it's not the big 200?

I'll cover both of what I stated. USCw are the favorites in Vegas. and Arkansas and Florida are the only 2 teams in the SEC to have a natty in both Football and Basketball.

Arky does not have an AP-UPI/BCS MNC in football.Who else claims those other titles? LSU,Oklahoma,Florida, Tennessee,Auburn,Georgia, and Texas have the AP-UPI/BCS titles.

No, accomplisments are important. So let's talk accomplishments. What really matters in CBB? The NCAA tournament (nobody gives a frick about conference titles).

More appearances? Arkansas

More Wins? Arkansas

Better winning percentage? Arkansas

More sweet 16s? Arkansas

More Elite 8s? Arkansas

More Final 4s? Arkansas

More National Championships? Arkansas

Fact is arky made it to the SEC Champ game thrice, neither time being even within single digits.

1995 - 34-3 Gators
2002 - 30-3 UGA
2006 - 38-28 Gators
Outscored 102-34

3 Visits= ave margin of loss greater than 3 TDs

However, on a positive note they are "consistent" as the Hogs followed up each CCG loss with a bowl loss as well.

Congratulations.

Arkansas is the only current SEC West basketball team to play for a national title, let alone win one.

LSU (1935, 1981, 1986, 2006) and State (1996) are the only other schools to even make the Final Four.

Congratulations on being the best amongst some not really great teams.

SEC West basketball FTW!

How many SEC schools did Arky beat in '64?

Answer: Zero.

Bama played and defeated 8 SEC teams, including 3 ranked teams (#9 Florida, #8 LSU, #10 Ga. Tech). But two of them were named Tulane and Vanderbilt.

Arkansas played one ranked team during the regular season: #1 Texas in Austin. They won 14-13. Defeated #6 Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl but both AP and UPI handed out trophies before the bowls back then.

At any rate, NCAA doesn't recognize an "official" champion. They just list the major polls on their site.

Both Arkansas and Alabama have a legit claim but the AP and UPI gave their titles to Bama.
