re: If you had the power, what game would you erase? That your team lost to in the past

The loss to Ohio State in 2014 was inexcusable and cost us the championship that year.
We would have rolled Oregon just like Ohio State did. Ohio State played like garbage in the championship game and STILL blew Oregon out easily.
How we lost that game I have no idea. They had some great players and played a great game but we still had no business losing to them. Bad coaching and way too many busts.

I don't know honestly. If we erase the loss to Bama that would have been our best bet though.

SEC Championship 2001
That game began the decline of UT football

The Kick 6, no question.
The 9-6 game might've also gotten some consideration since I was actually at Bryant-Denny for that one, but the asshwhooping in New Orleans more than made up for it.

Recently for the Gamecocks though the loss id most want erased is the 2013 Tennessee game. Threw our season off the rails absolutely, and the play where the UT CB just rips a completion (one for a TD iirc) from Pharoh Cooper’s hands is burned into my brain like a brand on a bull. Damn I need a drink.

Or what if there was a 3 way tie in the West. Who would have gone to Atlanta and who would be in the national championship assuming the west winner wins the SEC? Bama beats Arky, LSU beats Bama, Arky beats LSU. Who’s in?

I can only choose one?

Probably still Alabama and LSU (unless Arkansas would've blown LSU out).

We were a better team with more talent and more speed. It isn't a mystery. Zeke putting up 200+ and Cardale running over your best and loudest defender should have tipped you on that.

For my mulligan, it's 1998 or 2015 Michigan State.

Alabama was a bit overrated that season.

Trying to remember SEC tie breaker in BCS era...Bama would have moved to #1 which would’ve put them in Atlanta. Arkansas would’ve moved up to #2(possibly #1 but doubtful with Bama loss)in BCS. Then it’s just up to computers after conference title games. Depending on BCS poll, LSU could’ve stayed as high as #3 IMO.
How pissed would the college football world have been if that had played out in playoff era? 3 SEC teams in a 4 team playoff.

This is what happened in 03 when UF/UG/UT tied at 6-2. UF was ranked behind the others so it went to UG since they beat UT HTH.
Alabama would've been in the title game regardless. I think LSU still finished top 2 because of their impressive OOC wins over Oregon and West Virginia. Unless Arkansas would've just blown the doors off LSU.
Arkansas would've been hurt by the OOC too. Alabama had an impressive win on the road over Penn State (who was 8-1 before the Sandusky crap came out). LSU had Oregon at a neutral site and @ West Virginia. Arkansas had 6-6 A&M in Arlington and barely won.

I don’t think so because you have the algorithm factor of Arkansas winning at LSU the last week of season that goes into the computers.
It would’ve certainly been interesting.

LSU had that win over #5 Oregon though, on top of beating the team that destroyed Arkansas.

As I said, I don’t think LSU would’ve been above Arkansas right after Arkansas beat them at LSU, had that happened.
It would’ve been interesting though.
