You're right-Iowa State, Baylor, UCLA, and A&M were equal or worse.

MSU is the new 'Arkansas' in terms of having one decent season, making a bowl that doesn't have a .com in the title, and then thinking they should be in the middle of the BCSNC talks.

who said State is going to a BCS bowl? I think State wins 8-9 games before the bowl game as of now.

People can sleep on us all they want. We still have a lot to prove no doubt, but you are crazy if you dismiss us. I am not booking any tickets for New Orleans just yet, but we have the talent and coaching to be a top 4 or 5 in the conference. That basically puts us in the top 15 by default.

Our defense was purposefully vanilla the other night. We will be active and flying all over the field on Saturday.

I'm watching the game on tv for the first time, and i don't see anything that impressive. We'll be aight though. Can't decide exactly how good yet. I know one thing. Our secondary is vicious.

I thought it was sloppy yet 59 points were put on the board and 600+ yards. That's pretty different form the norm at State...

technically that would make the OP's point legit assuming State were to beat AU too.

FTR-I think the LSU game will be a 2-3 game either way.

I just don't see more than 8-9 wins for Miss St.

Doesn't mean one of the wins is against one of the top ten teams like Bama and LSU

FWIW Muschamp had a top 10 scoring D in the nation last year at UT. I don't think UT's issues last year were on the Defensive side of the ball. JMO.

Relf isn't starting his 1st SEC game in Tiger Stadium this year.

I think it goes either way 2-3 points, if I'd have to bet, LSU.
