...post here. If you have decided sell me on your position to be pro or con Barners.

I want to pull for the SEC to keep the streak alive. I'm finding hard to do that though since there's a chance it may be vacated. I don't want the history books to show no champion for 2010-2011. That just doesn't seem right.

When is the deadline to declare one's allegiance?

For once, I'm not going to have a favorite and just going to enjoy the game. I hope it's good one!

If your logic is what you say, you would root against an SEC team because theres a chance it could be vacated? Really?

How about pulling for Oregon because you don't want the recruiting competition from auburn in addition to everybody else?

That's just one of the reasons. Another is the Barn's fans here. Especially the new ones. Since the ATPB thread there have been terrible barners showing up. I still can't explain why all the new pigs suck though.

I'll tell you why I'm a duck tonight. This doesn't quite apply to you since there aren't a ton of UF/AU recruiting battles and yall aren't traditional rivals. But from a GA perspective, we go head to head with Auburn a lot. It absolutely boggles my mind why any Georgia fan would want Auburn to be even STRONGER, to allow them to go into a recruit's home with a national title ring. We should want all of our rivals to lose 10 games every year. The better our rivals look, the worse we look.

Quite frankly, I think anyone who pulls for another team simply because they are in your conference isn't very bright. frick the SEC, why should I give a good got dang if the SEC wins or loses? I am a GEORGIA fan above all else, that's who I care about. Screw everyone else. I hope Auburn loses by 50.

We won two in three years. We are OK with recruiting.

Yours should be vacated because of the phantom PI flag.

You are way too perceptive to be a Barner.

I have had this problem as well. However, after a lot of thought, I will pull for the Plainsmen. Reasoning: Conference pride, it will be hilarious to see Auburn's win vacated, and will make the PAC-10 knob slobberers have to make a bunch of excuses. It is a win-win-win.

I was going to ask you why but it's kind of obvious.

Bammers shouldn't contribute to this thread IMO. Neither should Big 10,11,12,13 or however many fans.

Still undecided:

Root for the cheating bastards?

or

Root for the weak arse pac-10? (Where if they win we have to hear how the great the pac-10 is and how much the SEC was overated.)

No win situation if you ask me.

I like your reasoning.

I'm now leaning towards $200kU.

See vacated argument above.

I couldn't watch TV for a month if the PAC 10 team won. It would be sickening. The grief the conference would take would be off the charts.

I like the $200kU win with a vacation. Keeps the PAC 10 down and justice eventually served.

In reality, us taking everyone's recruits is a bit absurd. We are not on the top tier consistently enough to have to worry about us.

I truly feel that many are underplaying the need for the strength for the SEC. All SEC fans want there to be absolutely no question that we are are the strongest conference so that when there is a tie at the end of the year, we get the automatic bid.

Another reason that seems silly to me. Why should I care what some writer for the Oregon times thinks? I don't personally know one single pac 10 fan. I don't work, interact with, or see any of them in my daily life. Why should it matter what they think in California? I'm not going to hear their praise/insults/excuses anyway so who cares.

I do, however, know and interact with Auburn fans and to see them miserable would be fantastic.

I want to root for the SEC and have in every game previously. The Cam situation, the extremely shady recruiting in Thibodaux, and Fairley acting like a rabid gorilla makes it difficult. It's gonna be a game time decision for me.

It is still going to suck to pull for them though. I will just keep telling myself, "It's only for three hours. This too, shall pass."
