If you are a Buckeye fan, you have to be scratching your head in disbelief.
Such a storied program with some really good QB’s “T. Prior, D. Haskins, T. Smith, JT Barrett & Justin Fields”
Yet from the looks of it right now, the most famous QB of Ohio State will be the QB that left the school and went to LSU to bring them the National Championship, while they watched that game sitting at home!
Geaux Joey B, keep breaking those Buckeyes hearts!
Watch when Joe Burrow makes the HOF in the NFL, Buckeye fans will try and claim him as their QB also, even though he didn’t even throw 30 passes total in the 2 years he was at Ohio State. And those were two years when OSU were rolling teams and even the 3rd string QB “Joey B” was able to sneak in games!
All I can do is still chuckle at the fact that Ohio State let the best QB they have ever had, go play and win a National title someplace else!

He would have never developed at OSU like he did with O’s guidance.
Joe owes everything to O and possibly Brandy’s kids.

Huh?
My experience has been that Buckeyes all wished him the best and enjoyed his success at LSU.
Of course they would have pulled for OSU had they played, but I haven't heard a single Buckeye bitter about Burrow or being anything other than gracious.
I'm sure many of them are Bengal fans and are happy that he is home and stacking W's.

Coach O brought him home and won a title and a Heisman. We are forever indebted to Coach O.

Well your experience is different than mine. The Buckeye football nut jobs I know, are all pissed that Burrow ending up winning at Naty at LSU.
They aren’t pissed off at Joe, they are pissed at the coaching decisions not to give him more playing time to show what he could do.

They still have some well known QB’s. Their top 3 would be; a guy on TV who is more known for a college football show, than his QBing at Ohio State, a guy who transferred and won a National Title at another school, And a made up fictional character who blew it in the Sugar Bowl.

Now that is the holiday spirit in the good ole fashion of “piling on” in football.

You think Burrow will go into the NFL Hall of Fame(if he gets in) as a LSU Tiger and not a Cincinnati Bengal?

First they lose Burrow, watch him win a Heisman, National Title and go on the heights of NFL proficiency.
Now they're also watching Jameson Williams, a Biletnikoff Award finalist, make it to the playoffs the same season their rivals beat them, keeping them out of the playoffs and instead Michigan gets an invite.
Burrow, post-Ohio State:
402-527, 76.3%, 5671 yards, 60 TD, 6 Int, 201.96 Rat
Williams, post-Ohio State:
68 Rec, 1445 yards, 21.25 avg, 15 TDs
By contrast:
OSU's QB in 2019:
238-354, 67.2%, 3273 yards, 41 TD, 3 Int, 181.43 Rat
Best WR in 2021:
80 Rec, 1259 yards, 15.74 Avg, 6 TDs
Number of national titles for Ohio State since 2019: 0
Number of national titles for OSU players who left: 1 (possibly 2 this year)

Keanu Reeves played two separate roles as a former Buckeyes who choked in college, Shane Falco and Johnny Utah

True, but top 3 most known OSU QB’s. Johnny Utah doesn’t make the cut over Shane Falco because Falco made a comeback in a football movie.

Change Jerseys to Polos, and you’re talking about Southerners.

The Buckeye fans were pulling for Joe all the way to the Heisman, same as they have been pulling for Jameson Williams, They always support their players
Back to top
