And you should be pissed at your AD for compromising.

I have never said the Bama UT game is important to the conference, but it sure does mean a lot to the two schools.
Now more than ever, it allows Tennessee to think they are still relevant.
You see non-relevant schools fighting over who, when, and where they get to play their "big game" of the year.
The rest plays the schedule given to them by the SEC.

Yea we all saw that and get that nobody but you cares about throwing paper into trees but for some reason we should all care enough about your tradition of Playing Georgia every year for a really long time correct?
What the frick are you talking about? I'm talking about the 2nd part of my first response where I said "Play them all at night". None of the programs in the SEC is conspiring against LSU to get rid of your night game tradition. It happened because of the networks. If it's that big of an issue, give back the $20+ million dollars you get from CBS, ESPN, etc. and play all of them at night untelevised.

Ok then, why should not the SEC care about our longstanding tradition of playing night games since 1931?
Because the SEC and it's partners care about making a profit, not what time a game starts. The same reason Bama/UT and AU/UGA aren't going anywhere...because they are highly anticipated games that bring the SEC and networks high ratings.

Don't try to explain rivalries to LSU fans. They dont understand.

The reason we're told they need to be kept is because of tradition.
If it's all just about ratings and money then why not just let the networks make the schedule every year the way they want it, throw out all divisions, rivalries, rotations, etc?

Has nothing to do with the television networks and the millions and millions of dollars they shell out to THE CONFERENCE.
So when it's an LSU tradition, everyone has a rational explanation for why it should be compromised, but when it's Bama/UT/UGA, then it's all emotional and 'life isn't fair' bullshite.

The fact is that the schedules WILL eventually change, and when the rivers of tears are flowing from the eyes of UA/UT/UGA fans, we will baptize our children therein and rejoice in the grace of our Lord. Amen.

I don't care about the conference. Is it nice to see you win, i guess so in the bowl games. But honestly I cheer every time an SEC team loses.
I wouldn't expect you to have rooted for Alabama in the BCS.

You're told whatever you need to be told. Much like you tell a 3 yr old whatever just to shut it up. The 3 yr old doesn't carry enough clout to change things so you pacify it. LSU = 3 yr old.

And why do you think those games still get high ratings even when one or both of the teams suck?

They do understand, reason why they are trying to force other programs into being their "big game" of the year.
Fabricated rivalries don't work, that is what they do not understand.
