Florida will still be a Dumpster Program though, brother

Florida fans being the least self aware fanbase in the SEC will always be amusing.

Outside of Spurrier and Meyer they’ve been completely irrelevant as a program.

UNC employees to many CCP agents to steal our info. Not sure it’s a great fit

Size of the stadium doesn't matter. The real thing that matters is population because that is more tv sets and more opportunities to reach out to advertisers. North Carolina has around 11 million total people and that is only a little less than Georgia.

The SEC is not going to let anyone in unless they can make more money for the SEC. At the very least, they will have to carry their own weight. There are not that many other universities that can do that. Ohio State, ND, Michigan, possibly Miami, FSU and Clemson. This is not my area of expertise but it is about money, not how good their sports teams are.

NC State has a much better football stadium and fanbase than UNC.

Not a single Big 12 school that pathetic.

There is no school you could add to the SEC to increase shares, as much as dropping Vandy would.

Original member isn't going anywhere. We can compare SEC and Big-12 stadium sizes:

Texas A&M - SEC (Former Big-12) - 102.733
LSU - SEC - 102,321
Tennessee - SEC - 101,915
Alabama - 101,821
Texas - Former Big-12 - 100,119
Georgia - SEC - 93,033
Florida - SEC - 88,548
Auburn - SEC - 88,043
Oklahoma - Former Big-12 - 83,489
South Carolina - SEC - 77,559
Arkansas - SEC - 76,212
Ole Miss - SEC - 64,038
BYU - Big-12 - 63,470
Kentucky - SEC - 63,543
Missouri - SEC - 61,620
Iowa State - Big-12 - 61,500
Mississippi State - SEC - 61,337
Texas Tech - Big-12 - 60,454
West Virginia - Big-1260,000
Oklahoma State - Big-12 - 53,855
Arizona - Big-12 - 53,599
Kansas - Big-12 - 51,500
Utah - Big-12 - 51,444
Arizona - Big-12 - 50,782
Colorado - Big-12 - 50,183
Kansas State - Big-12 - 50,000
TCU - Big-12 - 46,000
Baylor - Big-12 - 45,140
Houston - Big-12 - 40,000
Cincinnati - Big-12 - 38,088
Vanderbilt - SEC - 35,000

That's football...let's add Basketball, as well:

Tennessee - SEC - 21,678
Kentucky - SEC - 20,545
Arkansas - SEC - 19,368
BYU - Big-12 - 19,000
South Carolina - SEC - 18,000
Alabama - SEC - 15,383
Kansas - Big-12 - 15,300
Texas Tech - Big-12 - 15,300
Missouri - SEC - 15,061
Utah - Big-12 - 15,000
Arizona - Big-12 - 14,655
Vanderbilt - SEC - 14,316
Iowa State - Big-12 - 14,267
Arizona State - Big-12 - 14,198
WVU - Big-12 - 14,000
Oklahoma St. - Big-12 - 13,611
LSU - SEC - 13,215
aTm - SEC - 12,989
Cincinnati - Big-12 - 12,012
Oklahoma - SEC (Former Big-12) - 11,528
Colorado - Big-12 - 11,064
Kansas St. - Big-12 - 11,000
Texas - SEC (Former Big-12) - 10,763
Miss St. - SEC - 10,575
Georgia - SEC - 10,523
Florida - SEC - 10,500
Ole Miss - SEC - 9,500
UCF - Big-12 - 9,432
Auburn - SEC - 9,121
TCU - Big-12 - 8,500
Baylor - Big-12 - 7,500
Houston - Big-12 - 7,100

So, Vanderbilt would be the 5th largest basketball arena in the Big-12.

How about Baseball:

Miss St. - SEC - 15,000
Utah - Big-12 - 14,511
Ole Miss - SEC - 11,477
Arkansas - SEC - 10,737
Arizona - Big-12 - 9,500
Arizona St. - Big-12 - 8,775
Texas - SEC (former Big-12) - 7,373
Florida - SEC - 7,000
South Carolina - SEC - 6,600
Tennessee - SEC - 6,544
aTm - SEC - 6,100
Alabama - SEC - 5,867
Baylor - Big-12 - 5,000
Houston - Big-12 - 5,000
Kentucky - SEC - 5,000
TCU - Big-12 - 4,432
Auburn - SEC - 4,403
Vanderbilt - SEC - 3,626
UCF - Big-12 - 3,600
Oklahoma St. - Big-12 - 3,500
WVU - Big-12 - 3,500
Cincinnati - Big-12 - 3,085
Oklahoma - SEC (Former Big-12) - 3,031
BYU - Big-12 - 2,710
Kansas - Big-12 - 2,500
Kansas St. - Big-12 - 2,331

Vanderbilt would be the 6th largest baseball venue in the Big-12.

Now let's look at enrollment for football programs in the two conferences:

Arizona St. - Big-12 - 79593
aTm - SEC - 79,114
UCF - Big-12 - 69,233
Florida - SEC - 60,489
Texas - SEC (Former Big-12) - 51,913
Houston - Big-12 - 46,676
Cincinnati - Big - 12 - 43,338
Georgia - SEC - 41,615
Colorado - Big-12 - 41,432
Alabama - SEC - 40,846
Texas Tech - Big-12 - 40,773
Tennessee - SEC - 38,728
South Carolina - SEC - 38,300
LSU - SEC - 37,881
Kentucky - SEC - 35,952
Utah - Big-12 - 35,260
BYU - Big-12 - 35,074
Oklahoma - SEC (Former Big-12) - 34,523
Auburn - SEC - 34,145
Arkansas - SEC - 33,610
Iowa St. - Big-12 - 31,705
Missouri - SEC - 31,543
Kansas - Big-12 - 28,406
Ole Miss - SEC - 27,124
Oklahoma St. - Big-12 - 26,043
Miss St. - SEC - 23,150
WVU - Big-12 - 24,200
Baylor - Big-12 - 20,824
Kansas St. - Big-12 - 20,295
Vanderbilt - SEC - 13,537
TCU - Big-12 - 12,785

So...Vandy is a small private school that has a stadium that dropped from 40,000 to 35,000 (approximately 3 times the size of their enrollment). If Texas were to expand their football stadium to 3x their student enrollment, it would be around 150,000 people.

Vandy's basketball arena is around 107% larger than their enrollment. If Texas would do that, they would have an impressive 55,000 capacity arena.

Vandy's baseball stadium capacity is around 28% of their student enrollment. Texas is almost there. All they have to do is double the capacity of their stadium and they will match Vandy's capacity to enrollment ratio.
