If Auburn plays average defense on 4th and 31 this wouldn't be an issue.

If Booth doesn't shoot Lincoln, does Oswald get a shot ?

They also played a far superior schedule
Bama played 1 good school outside the bubble of preseason hyped sec schools and got blew out. The bubble of teams are all off beating each other and last year. Not what they did this year. So the whole bunch could suck and Bama just sucked the least.

If Clemson makes a 29-yard FG, it wouldn't be an issue, either.

Yes, but that goes right along with if Jamison Williams doesn’t get hurt Alabama wins the national title in 2021 and if Bowers and McConkey are 100% Georgia probably wins yesterday.

Injuries matter and some matter a lot.

So what does that suggest vis-a-vis FSU's schedule? Their best win is LSU...and that's Alabama's third best win and fourth-best opponent.

1 loss would still be better than 2

The team that didn't lose a game and beat the only common opponent worse.

If the #2 QB plays last night and hangs say 28-35 pts on UL are we still excluding FSU.

If you say "no" then the Committee made the wrong decision and had made their mind up before the games were played.

Just 1 cause we'd have knocked out JD earlier in the game. Lol. The biggest question is why didn't you have a better defense? Plenty of talent there.

If Auburn doesn’t fumble the punt. If Georgia doesn’t have an unforced fumble. If Alabama doesn’t have a pass that hit the ground on fourth down ruled a catch. If Arkansas isn’t missing 8 starters for the entire Alabama game. See how this works

and if Auburn doesn't fumble a punt and give up a 4 and 31 miracle TD, things would be right!

The broken leg was just an excuse for them to earn that Bama money.

So we cherry-pick our data instead of investigating all of it to come to a logical conclusion.

Excluding data is dishonest and biased-enabled.

Glad the committee looked at *all* the data. Enjoy watching Bama on Jan 1st.

I feel bad for Travis that he will think his injury, that he couldnt help, kept the team from making the playoff. Sucks to penalize a good player for getting hurt when he did nothing wrong

Facts don’t care about FSU’s feelings

The false equivocations here are relentless. Again, the committee left FSU out of the playoff because ONE of their players suffered a season ending injury. NOT because they lost a game.

Which is just ridiculous imo. YMMV
