He is a good tackler and has a good nose for the ball, but he isn't half the talent of Eric Reid.

Reid is actually a high character guy, a great student, and will be a much better pro. For some reason LSU fans seem to hype TM7 more.

Do I really need to post the link of him taking you to the house in what was supposedly Arkansas' biggest game in 40 years?

That helped him out a lot in the biggest game of his career.

I don't think you could make a better statement to show your ignorance. If you've followed him as a player at all for the past two years then you know he's a game changing type of player. You don't get to NY otherwise as a defensive player. No one said that he has NFL lockdown corner ability, he plays a role on one of the best defenses in the country, and he does it very well.

Thank you! You are the first LSU fan I have seen that understands what TM is and how he fits into the team. Individually he is not a great cover corner as proven by his last game, but he is a big play, game changer given the opportunity.

I actually don't disagree with any of this, but when one guy creates so many big plays he's obviously going to be the focal point.

Well we already know that we don't even need him on the field to kick your asses to I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

This thread probably wasn't needed but I literally busted out laughing when I read this.

Reid is great and he gets plenty of hype and praise from LSU fans. But let's face it, he's never in the position to change the outcome of a game like TM7. And TM7 almost always delivers, he only holds the record for career forced fumbles in 2 seasons. And he did that when he didn't even start for most of his freshman season. The kid is a hell of a fricking football player so I don't see the need to knock him like you people do on here. Y'all are jelly, that's all

Turnovers are cool, but they are not all equal. A strip on the way down while other players are holding a guy up is not as impressive as a big hit that jars the ball loose.

A lot if his turnovers seen to be lack of execution by offensive players more so than a forced turnover by him. Oregon comes to mind, also in the UF game where he was beat deep and the ball was under thrown and he picked it in the end zone.

I'm way more impressed with his tackling ability than ability to create a turnover. He is as good of a tackler as any player I've seen, especially for a little guy.

He's already the #1 gamechanger in college football, but if he continues to improve then holy shite it's going to be a fun season

If he can improve the minor flaws in his man-man game he'll be so good it isn't funny.

I don't think we'll see that much improvement from last year statistically. That's not because he won't be any better of a player but because he's on everyone's radar. He is very talented and will have a good year though. I happen to like the guy as a player, regardless of what others might say.

the guy is like 1-2 forced fumbles away from the CAREER NCAA forced fumbles record. Im sure its just a coincidence though and its nothing really that impressive since "someone else was just holding the guy up"

Where was he on 1/9 ? He played the entire game and I don't recall him changing anything that game. Maybe he is just a game changer when he's able to take a cheap shot on someone.

Well all he can really improve on is winning the Heisman. He already won the highest award, for a defensive player, in the country and sec.

He isn't going to grow 6 inches in the next month to become a better cover man this year so I'm going with no.

I hate this myth. Couldn't e further from the truth. CBs ,who can't cover, don't get first round grades. I've seen mock drafts with TM as the 2 nd overall pick

I think he can be a first rounder, but only an idiot would take him second overall. QBs, pass rushers, and OTs are more valued.
