I realize that neither the Pigs nor the Horns like to admit it, but until about 1970, A&M was basically the Citadel. Mandatory Corps and no women, not to mention the impact of scholarship limits in 1974 to lessen Texas' ability to corner the talent market.
Honestly, the fact that that either would ever lose to A&M prior to that is pretty remarkable. Not quite Troy-level failure, but still...
Since 1974, the series' with both are pretty much even, just like with LSU.
