Does that change a lot of teams expectations or outlooks this year

I’m assuming home field advantage will be minimal if anything at all

It probably be a little harder to predict or project a schedule. Every game will be like a neutral site game

I said this before, but why not let ONE fan per team go?

Opposite sides of the stadium, they are just screaming at each other.

Football season will happen normally.

I really don't know why people think this thing will last that long. Eventually it runs out of people to infect. The peak for the entire country is expected to be in 8 days. By June, it should have run it's course for the most part.

COVID-19 projections assuming full social distancing through May 2020

You can break it down by your own state to see when your local peak is. It changes from state to state. Even though nationally it's expected to be in 8 days, some states still have 14 days until peak.

Total expected deaths by August is 80k.

I don’t know about that. What country has gone back to normal after two months. China still is delaying their sports seasons and it’s been 6 months

I certainly hope so for the sake of all the sisters in Alabama.

We'll see if the graph turns out to be worth a shite. I just came across it a few days ago.

Not exactly sure how they come up with the peak, but they've thus far done decent in predicting the increase.

They can't keep the economy and everything shut down forever. I think by the end of this month, people will be going about their lives, but probably wearing masks and doing social distancing.

Using that model, projected vs. actual deaths.

April 6th

Projected: 1,967
Actual: 1,255

April 7th

Projected: 2,140
Actual: 1,970

Keeping the economy going and playing sporting events with 80,000 people are completely different things. Plus if that graph is based off of China’s numbers who basically have lied to the world about this than its BS

The Secretary of Defense has already directed that everyone on military installations wear masks or face covering when a 6-ft separation isn't feasible.

Lol diddlydawg7 now that's to hilarious imagining that!! Two fans from opposing teams on opposite sides of the stadium screaming at each other. Now that's an SNL type skit for sure! I absolute love it! Add two more fans in each end zone & a cheerleader for each team.Bring each mascot to. Hell bring a few from each band.I mean it's better than nothing but hopefully we'll be back to normal by then.

I don't think it's going off China's numbers.

The US has more than 4 times the confirmed cases as China at this point.

But I'm guessing.

It will almost assuredly be seasonal as viruses are. Even though some strains of the flu only slow down considerably. Bigger issue will be the virtual collapse of the economy if this goes on much longer and the possibility that many schools won't be playing or won't be in the same form they currently are.

I'm assuming schools will pump in crowd noise because otherwise the games are going to be eerily silent, but will State pump in cowbells as well?

I agree and if it doesn't begin in September, I do believe we have football in October. The summer months are coming. I believe we will have a precipitous decline as the hot weather begins to take over.
