Yes. In 1994 both teams came into it unbeaten. Alabama was 10-0 and riding an 11 game winning streak. Auburn was also unbeaten, at 9-0-1, and riding a 21 game unbeaten streak (their longest ever, I believe). The winner, Alabama, went to the SECCG.

on an off topic subject i think this is why the sec is so much further ahead of other confrences. A big hit is likely to get an equal reaction out of the crowd when compared to a touchdown. Good blocks like that don't go unnoticed. most other confrences would talk about the amazing punt return that was going on
