Actually not bad. I like it. But do you do with the winners of each pod. Four team playoff?

I hate the idea of expanding to 16 teams. Hated the idea of expanding to 14 teams but what do you know we got these cheer captains from College Station. With all that being said, this is a great idea...if we had to expand to 16

As some have said, OU-OSU are tied together, and you can't have one without the other. The PAC didn't want them (without Texas), so neither does the SEC. Texas and Kansas have gone too far into the anti-SEC camp to ever act remotely interested in the SEC. In some hypothetical where the Big 12 breaks up (very possible), those two going to the PAC, Big 10 and ACC are all significantly more likely than them going to the SEC.
ACC schools are the only realistic targets. VT and one of the NC schools would be ideal, and the most likely IMO. 2 new states, just like Texas and Missouri represent. It is clear that that is the SEC's game plan; new states, new TVs.

I would hate for VT to come in. They have never had any team EVER win a National title(all sports). If it came to that I hope UVA would pull something, if for no other reason than during the ACC expansion when VT was gonna be left out, they had lawmakers force UVA(they did not want VT in the ACC either) to not only vote to include VT, but vote against any expansion that didn't include VT.
That may be why VT didn't want to leave the ACC during last year's expansion round--they knew UVA pulled strings to get them in and didn't want to create friction.
But if the B1G decides to expand, they most likely want any or all of UVA, UNC, MD, and GT (they are all AAU members which is real big to them). If UVA bolts then VT gets the "cover" it needs to start talking to the SEC (though the WV couch burners claim that they're also a Big 12 candidate as well).

Either NC State & Virginia Tech
This would be my personal pick as well, expand into two more states with one additional top-10 market (DC area) and some decent sized ones in Charlotte and the Research Triangle.
But VT may not move until and unless UVA leaves the ACC for the B1G. NC State may be the best of a bad batch of NC football teams but they may see a chance to improve their football recruiting by offering SEC competition (like A&M did).

Duke and UNC in east, move Mizzou and Kentucky to west. Never happen but if any two....

Most likely to be sought be the SEC? Or most likely to switch?
I can't see UNC and NCSU ever being in different conferences since we are both under the UNC System. We coexist too well and specialize in different areas. The schools work together too much. UNC, Duke, and NC State will always be together. And Wake most likely.

^You refer to NC State as "we". You from there? How would you feel about joining, how well would fans react, all that?

FSU and Clemson. Hands down.

Most likely to switch if the ACC breaks up, which outside of rumors from a bunch of West Virginia couch burners I'm not so sure is likely.

But if the ACC starts getting raided, say the B1G wants UVA and UNC to go to 14 (or those two plus GT and MD to go to 16), is UNC so tied to NCST (not to mention Duke and Wake) that it won't jump?

As much as A&M and Texas hate each other on the sports field, on the academic side the two are still working together on projects--most faculty could care less about the sports side. UNC and NCST (and Duke) make up the Research Triangle, not the Sports Triangle, no matter what happens with any conference shifts.

Those of you pushing for KU to be added to the SEC need to have your heads examined. You sit there and rail on Bama fans for being irrational and full of themselves, well multiply that by 100 and you will have the typical KU fan. The thought of KU being in the SEC makes me want to PUKE. NC State and Virginia is my pick and move MIZZOU to the West.

Now you know how we feel about Mizzou and arse-To-mouth

You are right about this. And there's nothing to prevent this relationship from continuing. Research & athletics are not mutually exclusive. I don't see how being members in different athletic conferences has much to do with this.
