I cant wait for the actual Alabama @ LSU game.

The real explanation is that the official was simply lining up the ball with the spot that the other official he was looking at had marked relative to the line on the field

I am in no way suggesting a conspiracy because of how difficult it would be to pull that off. I do believe, however, there is a built in bias but that’s been ranted to death so I’d rather not go there.

Also, unless I am missing something, even if he was looking at a ref toward the center of the field’s spot, which he wasn’t as you can see above the other ref not spotting the ball....why would a ref take a spot from the middle of the field to spot on the sideline? That is backwards and makes no sense. You take the spot on the sideline and then spot it on the hash towards the middle
