I can see it in 98 degree August, but January? Give me a fricking break. These guys spent way too uch time chasing pussy on South Beach.

Yeah, cramping up because of lack of hydration. Stupid move not to keep hydrated, but has nothing to do with Utah belonging in the game. See, the problem is that when you buy into this ESPN shite stirring crap as if they have any other intention than to keep you tuned in by stirring the pot, you will never don a national champion in football because there will always be someone who was left out at the end of the year. That's life. I wish it were perfect, but it just isn't.

quote:Dude, you are the one guy that has ade good sense in this thread. However, I learned a little lesson this year. I did not start watching this game until it had been on for half an hour. I had it on DVR & fastforwarded in between plays. I called a buddy of mine at the paper & told hi this was the biggest slop fest I had ever seen. The lack of execution on both sides of the football was astounding. I was not very impressed with USC either. If Penn State doesn't shoot theselves in the foot every time they made a big play, they would have had a great game in the Rose Bowl. The fact is there were three great bowl teams this year. LSU, Ole Miss, & Utah. Considering Utah's body of work, they deserve to be national champions period.

No takeaways? Please. I saw a mid-air strip and a blocked field goal that definitely count as takeaways. Not to mention the impressive coverage that Florida had all night. I wish LSU's secondary would play like that.

I didn't see a single takeaway all night.
You missed two great INTs. Florida jumped the route before half and the second INT by Florida was a great play.

quote:I staqnd corrected. The strip was a legitimate takeaway. I just saw the preview of it. The blocked field goal never got 4 foot off the ground however & was blocked at the line of scrimage. just another symptom of piss poor preparation.

quote:You mean one. That was a stupid arse play b Bradford. You don't even make that throw or even call for an option like that coming out of a time out. Ok didn't have any timeouts left & if dud catches that ball he doesn't score. You throw it to the end zone or out of bounds & kick your field goal.

having to look at the sidelines in between every fricking play to figure out what the hell your going to do next,
This part I agree with wholeheartedly. I hate this, it slows down the flow of the game. Not to mention, does anyone else find it sad that TWO Heisman winning quaterbacks couldn't run their offense without aving to look to the sideline to call an audible? Is this what great quarterbacks are now?
Compare these two to Peyton Manning and you realize how much he go robbed by he voters. Hell, Eli looks like a more complete quarterback than these two.
Are the qbs dumber now, or are OC's getting too complicated?

gee gridiron...are you on your period?

quote:Oh yes, How unrealistic of me to expect the "Two" best teams in college football to go up to the line of scrimage, get down in a stand, & run a fricking play without some bullshite of them looking over to the sideline for God knows what & then running some shite play that gained a net of two fricking yards. I tell you what happened, you had two coaching staffs both trying to show how sart they were & keeping their players from making plays for the majority of the game. It ruined the flow of the game & made for piss poor football. Take away the piped in sound & bullshite commentary hyping up mediocre to bad football & you had two poor looking high school teams trying to excel at what each one was not worth a shite at & forgetting what got them to the dance to begin with.
gee gridiron...are you on your period?

Yes Magil, that is what the qbs are suppose to do. Not everyone is playing this game on xbox. Anyone who knows anything about good football will tell you that even a great quarterback has to trust his offensive coordinator and if his offensive coordinator feels like he can see more and make better calls from the press box than he can standing behind 6 abnormally large men, then so be it.
Second of all, the reason this game was low scoring in comparison to other games is because the defenses had more time to prepare. An offense with a whole month is just practicing the same shite maybe adding a few new wrinkles. If you give a defense that much time they will have your tendancies and weaknesses memorized. Bowl season is much different than the rest of the season for this fact.
With all that said, there is only 2 reasons I can think of for you making this post to the OP:
1.) You're incredibly anti-social and you hate people in general. Therefore you get joy out of pissing people off.
2.) You're very ignorant.
3.) Your a nobody and always have been. You've been sitting the bench your whole life and all you can do to make yourself feel important is to sit here and talk shite about people that are obviously better than you at pretty much everything you do.
