Based on his past history (or lack of) it makes me think he is innocent
Sounds like a serial killer narrative. "He was never like that."
LOL
An athlete at LSU would have a very hard time getting in trouble for anything to develop said history. It takes effort to get in the trouble he's in.

Even if he's innocent?
Yes - He's putting himself above the team. Furthermore, he isn't 100% innocent regardless. He was out past curfew adn involved in an altercation at the very least.
Closure was brought to the "who's going to be our QB" distraction by suspending JJ. Once again, indefinitely was pending the trial, which we know won't happen before this season is over -- so yes -- there is closure as far as this season is concerned.

Maybe, but it's not like we haven't been dealing with distractions for the last month and have overcome them.
We overcame because we got some closure with JJ finally being indefinitely suspended and thus seperated from the rest of the team such that he could not sit around and distract them.
The simple fact that he's pleading for playing time and reinstatement right now shows total selfishness to me. The team is trying to focus on winning a national title - not JJ's career that never existed in the first place.

JJ played better in the A & M game than Lee played against NW. St. and he didn't complete 90% of his passes. I don't know why we are arguing this since JJ isn't going to play.
WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? JJ was much improved during A&M - but still very mediocre 150 yds passing. WOW
re: One thing Questioning our Offense....The toss up the middle

I believe it isn't necessarily "up the middle." It's zone blocking - which means that they toss the ball and the RB can be patient and see which gap is open.

Jerrard Randall will already be more viable as a 'dual threat' than JJ ever was next year.
It's nice to finally have a QB who knows how to pass and properly execute plays!

What a huge difference Crowton's replacement has made on the LSU offense.
You could see it coming in the Texas A&M game.
The passing looks so much better this year.
It's nice to see LSU actually attacking a defense. It's also nice to see the quarterback that performs well stay in the game as not to stymie the offense's rhythm.
(Might be interesting to see what Maryland, who has never had a top 25 recruiting class, does with West Virginia this week, and compare it to what LSU, who now has a QB and one of the highest average recruiting classes in the NCAA, does with West Virginia next week.)

How impressive! We all know the OC's thought was -- "I don't care how well he performed, JJ is still better!" -- and he tried to use some rhetoric to conjugate this pathetic -- "thank god our coaching issues are resolved"
No, thank god we have a passing qb back in the game. Signed -- Tenn / Florida

re: Only 79,000 actual attendance last night per LSU

There weren't as many tailgates either. LSU might be making more money from elevated ticket prices and pay to tailgate / park schemes, but you can expect the rent-a-wins to yield less than desirable results.

South Carolina and Arkansas=No defense at all.
Just like Auburn last year, right?

You're avatar is "jefferswag" and you immediately point out that our best year talent wise was the last one in which we had a respectable African American QB, who turned out to suck when he got to the NFL -- as opposed to Flynn who is still in the NFL for the defending world champions.
Just making an observation.

You're right. They play different positions than Magee.

That being said JL is our QB and will be our starter until either JJ comes back or he gets injured.
WTF. ARE YOU STUPID? This time last year was the beginning of JJ's infamous streak of 7 games without a touchdown. How could you even say this? JJ is the absolute worst passing qb LSU has had in the last decade, even worse than Marcus Randall. Seriously, JJ will never play another down for LSU -- and if he does -- Les Miles should be fired.

Did he even throw a pass that was beyond the LOS? You fricking people.
Yea, he zipped a 15 yard pass to RR.

Its Northwestern State. Lets not get to excited just yet.
Both of these qbs have looked significantly better than JJ did against any of the home rent-a-wins last year. Deal with that.
does lsu benefit from oregon game in end
Posted by EricB on 9/10/11 at 3:56 pm
Oregon is going to run it up on the Nevada's from here on out. They will be right behind lsu and bama again after blowing out the highschool teams they play. If lsu loses a game later on, does eating Oregon alive matter?
I think RR is best WR since Clayton. Wish he would get the highlights to prove it.

You're a fricking retard if you don't think these two games were completely different in offensive style than what we've seen for the last three years.
you're right. Last year's ULM, UF, WVU, Vandy, Miss State, and Auburn games were SO different than the two being compared.

If JL throws one touchdown this weekend then you should go crawl in a hole because you know what stats ill be bringing up, for the next 7 weeks. Seriously, you should just leave this topic alone because ill be the first to rub it in your face.
