I don't think I personally made any comment about motivation. However, it is absolutely possible for 20 year olds to just play poorly and not have it be a sign of some deep problem in a program.

So I am helping UGA in a way.

That game sucked, but I think it was the perfect end to our season. Team needed an arse kicking. Hope they play better this year,’last year was lackluster as shite.

Thankfully, You have proven otherwise by trying to discount the importance of mentality, availability of players, and availability of coaches in the game of football.

This level of justification is hitting aggy level. Congrats!

The shite you mentioned isn’t unique to Georgia. Every year we see players sit out bowl games, coaches leave early, etc. The key is depth and mental toughness. You keep talking about the big picture. That’s not the point of this thread.

Yay, UGa is in great shape right now. It doesn’t mean that Texas didn’t beat their arse in the Sugar.

When you have signed 20 5 stars - and soon to be even more - the #3, #1and#2 recruiting classes in the nation during Kirbys 3 years at UGA, won the SEC, beat the always overrated ND on their own field, won the Rose Bowl, played Bama to overtime in the NC title game, and as SEC east champs dominated them for most of the last SEC game I fail to see why we should not have extremely high hopes. It’s good and only going to get better. Georgia’s dominance seems to be stirring up a lot of jealousy and envy. That’s good. Shows we are creating a team to be reckoned with.
I have to admit I find it amusing to have programs that haven’t done diddly in years criticize us for our success.
BTW. Our fans are the best. The heart and soul of our program. We fill our stadium and travel in mass with our team. Our numbers would be even better if we could get more tickets. Dawg fans love our program and will be there win or lose. And it feels like the best days yet are coming

Its also about focus on preparation for the upcoming opponent, personnel, and coaching. All 3 of those things changed from the regular season to the bowl game.

The combination of circumstances UGA dealt with arent common, and just because some other team may have dealt with some of the factors doesnt diminish their impact for this particular game.

Good lord you’re still crying about the Sugar Bowl?

You’re one of the first UGA fans that I haven’t liked. Take the loss, pussy.

I think the SEC Championship game was more of a lie than the Sugar Bowl.
They both could be lies but for whatever reason UGA fans want to believe it was the Sugar Bowl and some will find anyway they can to justify the game.
UGA is hungry. I feel for them. It has been a long time coming.

Poor bopper, your big win has been diminished by the points I have made, and it makes you so angry.

You are doing the same exact thing.
Georgia wants to dismiss the game.
Texas wants to say they can compete.

2019 will prove who is right and who is wrong.

No, I am not doing the same exact thing.

I am diminishing the meaning of the game.

Others like you and him are dismissing the factors that diminish the game.

Based on what?

- Bama was motivated to win a championship.
- Their best defender didnt quit before the game.
- Their DC didnt quit before the game.

Do you understand what lying to yourself means.

You can lie to everyone but never lie to yourself.

It’s s sign that they were pissed not to be in the playoffs. I was pretty upset myself. All the way to New Orleans I kept thinking that this just isn’t right. My heart wasn’t in that Texas game and neither were my Dawgs
