re: If Texas beats Vandy, would there be any reason for Notre Dame to be ranked ahead of them?

So… by that logic, a 7-point lead is a two-score game?

Good to know Texas’ 10-point victory against a&m was a 3-score defeat

Poor sarge. First Scottie Scheffler and now this

1) I am well aware and I have never heard anyone call an 8 point deficit in college football a "2 score game" as everyone knows you can score a TD and go for the 2 point conversion to equal 8 points. GO ahead and find any telecast or person calling it a 2 score game to prove me wrong.

2) Why do you lie when it is so easy to fact check you?

the game was NEVER 17 points and with 3 minutes left in the 4th it was an 8 point game AND Texas got the ball back with time to score.

It doesn't matter if we were down 50 in the 4th quarter (as MSU just found out) its a 60 minute game.

How many times do I have to embarrass you Sarge on the tRant?

Damn. Wrong on so many things and now you’re just running away

So… can tell me again how a 7-point lead is a two-score game?

No, If we win, I think we go up 3 spots and Vandy will stay ahead of us.

ND should barely break into he top25. Only reason they are so highly ranked is their brand and the fact that they have a TV contract exclusive with NBC

Interesting take for an Aggie fan. Biting the hand that feeds you

That would be a better win than ND has.

One incontrovertible fact... Notre Dame does not deserve to be ranked where they are. Maybe 20th at best....

ND would be an even match for the top SEC team. A 3pt.spread at worst.

Yes, an 8-point lead in football is considered a two-score lead because the trailing team needs to score twice to tie or take the lead. A two-score lead means the team can afford for the opponent to score a touchdown (6 points) and a two-point conversion (2 points) and still be ahead by 0 points, but the trailing team would have to score two touchdowns with successful extra points or two-point conversions to catch up. For example, if a team is up by 8 points, the opponent needs a touchdown and a two-point conversion to tie the game (6 + 2 = 8).

Down by 15 with 3:20 to go, and needing every miracle in the world to close that to 8 points down before time ran out is getting whooped.

Just like Ohio state
