I'm a big fan of CCR too. They're not just from California, they're from the San Francisco Bay area. My dad, who went to LSU and also loves CCR, always talks about seeing them play on the levee there in BR "when they were just Louisiana boys still trying to make it". I don't have the heart to tell him. It's a very, very common misconception. They faked it well.

Arkansas is Run-D.M.C. Old school roots, crossover hits but not acceptance. Both looked good rocking Adidas.

Alabama - Rolling Stones - dominate in the 60s and 70s with continued relevance the following decades. Some scandal along the way.

Ole Miss - The Beach Boys - had a brief but impressive run in the 60s but have done little to nothing since.

Auburn - Michael Jackson - big in the 80s with a bright stardom too often mired in scandal and controversy.
