This sounds a lot like the "Bobby Cox" thread that got whacked earlier today...

Heck yes. I was watching the game with my Dad when that happened, and he shook his head and said "he just lost his job"...

Yea, if Alabama doesn't win tomorrow you will definately start to hear that Saban can't win a big game. Nevermind his team this year and last year was the underdog in the "big game." Nevermind he already has two SEC titles and a NC under his belt. Nevermind that nobody expected Alabama to even be in the SEC championship game last year and nevermind many of you non-Alabama fans thought they'd be watching it from their couches again this year. I mean, how dare he potentially lose as the underdog to one of the greatest college players ever a second time? I say Alabama fires him if they lose tomorrow

How many games would Urban Meyer win with John Parker Wilson and Greg McElroy as his starting quarterbacks? Alabama's overachieved the last two seasons and it's primarily due to Saban.

As I recall.. Saban beat Fulmer at Tenn 2 of 3, Zook 2 of 3 years, Tubberville 2 of 5.

He beat Bobby Dodd GTech Peach bowl
Ron Turner Illinois Sugar and Bob Stoops in the Sugar.

He lost to Mack Brown, Ferentz (Iowa)

Looks like Saban only beat mediocre coaches to me... Thoughts?

Les Miles has beaten Larry Coker, Charlie Weiss, Jim Tressel, and Paul Johnson in bowl games. Amazing! Thoughts?

You are correct as of today. He's 24-2 since '08 Two SEC West Titles and tomorrow night The SECCG trophy.

Good grief,I hope not. I'm not the world's biggest Nick Saban fan,but I hate the "Buffalo Billing" of teams who lose title games. Only one team can win "it all" and even with that, some deserving teams don't get a shot. Alabama is #2 playing the #1 team. If they lose,it'll be tough, but only because they will miss out on winning the SEC and not having a shot at the National Title. Dump on a guy for missing a bowl game in back to back seasons, but the Title game.

So has Bob Stoops, you just called him mediocre. And Coker is widely regarded to be the worst head coach to ever win the national title, and if you can think of somebody else that even challenges him for that let me know.

Maybe Les can beat Dan Hawkins in the Indy Bowl like Saban did one time at Alabama.

"I say Alabama Fires Him if he loses tomorrow"

Really? Saban is directly responsible for $100MIL in revenue to the University (Last year's report) He's beat every SEC foe but Florida. Would you Fire an Employee who brings it that kind of Money?

If you still would You better not start a Buisness Brah..

Considering Saban was 2-0 in SECCGs and 1-0 in BCSCGs at LSU I'm going to say no to this question.

He might. Then LSU fans can talk all summer about how great of a season they're going to have next year and how awesome JJ is going to be.
