That is the only damning thing he's really got going for him in my book.

those 5 passes in garbage time in 2008 as an 18 year old kid didnt impress you...harsh!!

He had one bad game against ya'll in 2009. He threw 5 passes in 2008 as a true freshman in the first game of his college career.

According to an ESPN article, he's considering Bama too, doesn't mean I have to like him as a QB.
I saw that too. That's bullshite - we have no room for him and he'd NEVER get the passing plays in that he's used to, so why he'd even consider Bama is beyond me.

quote:He would easily be a top QB in the SEC... I mean the argument that he plays in a shitty conference can be valid one. Yet the SEC is not like the NFL compared to the ACC being High School. The ACC I believe has won 45% of their games against SEC competition over past 10 years which is pretty decent.

You also take into account the talent surrounding him which is pretty shitty. The ACC does have decent talent (they have 3rd most NFL players I believe) but NC State is not a hot bed for NFL talent. So he is doing this with sub-par talent, put him on a team that has 4/5* talent across board and his numbers will be fine.
Will his numbers dip? Yes because no one in the SEC runs the system that NC State does, his best bet to duplicate those numbers would be Auburn/Kentucky.

So a division 3 QB with 100 career TDs should instantly be SEC quality? By your argument "stats only" it is.
Never said that, I said Wilson, D1 qb, is SEC quality,

Fair enough. I was at both games hammered, but I just remember how hyped he was in the 2009 game and how they were going to destroy us, and he was going to pass for 350 yards on our secondary, blah blah blah, and he just bombed.
2008... yea, he didn't start that game. Forgot about that.

It was definitely not one of his better days.

I just cringed at the reminder of a certain 2008 game for us.

I cringe when Jefferson goes back to pass...

You said stats alone makes him D1 quality, stats are the biggest lie in sports.
He's a undersized QB who has a bad career completion percentage, under 4 YPC career rushing, hasn't won a conference championship, and made his team wait for his while he attempts to play baseball.
I hope Auburn takes him, I really do...

Why have multiple SEC schools contacted him if he is so terrible and not good enough to play in the conference.. argue with them not me

The "coaches know everything" argument doesn't work on me.
He's a band-aid, nothing more...

I don't think you could call it anything more, just like it would be at any other school.

Tell that to the people already claiming he'd be the best QB in the SEC...

Just because he'd be a band-aid doesn't mean he couldn't still be the best in the league. Not exactly a deep pool you're pulling from. Cam was a band-aid and also the best in the SEC.
I guess I'm kind of confused on what the argument is.
