The LHN has had no impact on anybody in the BIG XII at all. It's a running joke. I don't know what you think you're talking about.

It puts an additional $15 million in TV revenue in their pockets.

The Big and SEC all split their conference TV packages.

SEC/ Big 12 hybrid could work- maybe a third division?

Um no. This was the idea of the Big-8/SWC merger. We all saw how that turned out. Texas had completely taken over within 5 years.

Add OU and UNC/Va Tech and be done with realignment

Uhhhhhhhh you dont think maybe it would have been easier to attract 12 members in 2011 with the promise of a stabilizing conference network that would have allowed yall to keep your conference championship which would have made it more likely that the big 12 would have been in the playoffs in 2014 and 2016?

Uhhhhhhhh no. Cuz you uhhhhhhhhhh ran away for uhhhhhhhhh SEC money and the others ran away for uhhhhhhhhhhhh B1G and PAC money.

Having a conference champion with 2 losses was why the BIG XII didn't make the playoffs in 2016, not the lack of a conference network, nitwit. The BIG XII is making it to the playoffs just fine. What world are you living in aggot?

Now I get to watch OU and A&M fans fight it out. Something I could never understand, why has OU been so relevant over the years compared to A&M, yet A&M has all the built in advantages.

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the lack of a conference championship is the exact reason the big 12 was left out in 2014 and UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you seriously dont think the promise of a stabilizing conference network would have given yall 12 teams in 2011 to keep your championship game

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the big 12 is behind the SEC and big ten and ACC in playoff appearances SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

C'mon... you're comparing OTAR TV to cable?

You REALLY think those numbers would be the same if you
reversed those 2 games?

A conference championship game and a conference network aren't the same thing, nitwit. Do you even know what your silly point is here?

Who gives a shite who's behind who in playoff appearances? We're getting there just fine. If the other teams aren't that's their problem. This isn't a point.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

You ignorant goober. A promise of a conference network would have attracted more teams to the big 12 in 2011 which, please tell me you are capable of deductive reasoning. Would. Have. Allowed. Yall. To. Keep. Your. Game

Why did one get the OTAR and the other get stuck on cable?

The point is that Auburn is not more valuable to the conference like Iron Puppet pretends. I know it's just a troll job, but something has him rustled and he is taking it out on Aggies.

Actually Texas was going to the PAC-12, because they consider themselves the academic equivalent of Stanford and such ... A&M was looking heavily at the SEC. The Texas Legislature with a bunch of Baylor alums got wind of their plans, and made both school take Baylor and Tech with them to the Big 8 instead, to form the Big XII

This is in 2010. He was talking about late 80s and 90s when the SWC was at death's door.

And it was the same then. Texas wanted the PAC back in the late 80s/early 90s and A&M was all but gone to the SEC until politics came in

There's absolutely zero basis for this moronic conclusion. Tell me....which teams were waiting in the wings to join the BIG XII if only we had a conference network?

Answer: Zero

We have a conference championship game right now, without a conference network. The decision to scrap the CCG was simply a terrible decision. Has dick to do with a "conference network", just like it doesn't have anything to do with a "conference network" right now.

This still isn't a point.

That's exactly what Colorado Ag was talking about.

Bob Bullock and Ann Richards were trying to save Baylor and Texas Tech when the longhorns wanted to go west and A&M wanted to join the SEC.

They stuck us in the Big 12 as a compromise, but it was doomed from day 1.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

you didnt "scrap" the conference game you ignorant goober. it was against NCAA rules to have a conference championship game with fewer than 12 schools. that is no longer the rule and thats why it came back in 2017
