That lady of the lake stuff sounds bad. Having lived through the bludgeoning the ncaa did to Bama in Jan of 2002, this could be devastating. 8 schollies just doesn't sound enough to me. We had 26 schollies and a 2 year bowl ban for way less. People forget what happens. U get a bowl ban nobody wants to play there. Nobody wants to coach there (people still believe Bama hired shula because they thought he was the best coach) when other coaches start telling recruits u don't want to go there because of the serious sanctions u feel the pain. Circa 2003-2007 I remember just hoping we could play Vandy close. The ncaa wrecked our program in the mid 2000's. People here don't want to admit that's why we sucked but u are fooling yourself. Also, because of the serious football sanctions, that makes the next sport that gets major violations eligible for the 5 year repeat violator window... AKA the death penalty. Basketball could be the victim. Bottom line, if lsu gets out with 8 schollies and no bowl ban, they should kiss the feet of the ncaa. Bama and socal got NAILED for less.

Not only is it just 8 scholarships, but it's not a 4 and 4 deal. It's 8 scholarships against the 85 total and even if LSU signs 25 this year we may not get to that total. This "penalty" is a joke and I don't see how the NCAA can agree to it.

If they were just trying to enforce their rules realistically, LSU shouldn't be punished at all.

The NCAA is a joke.

Side question- what is the purpose of abbreviating ncaa to nc2a? It's actually harder to type than ncaa.

you sound like Alabama fans before the ncaa slammed Alabama for Antonio Langham signing a napkin, and then for some players giving to friends and selling some texbooks

Cool but the Alexander situation had nothing to do with LSU football.

The NCAA thinks otherwise. Plus, there could be more to the story not being reported.

The NCAA doesn't necessarily think otherwise, its just a violation by the letter of the law.

These are self imposed penalties. The NCAA has made no such statements.

The NCAA hasn't said anything.

The intelligence of Bammers never ceases to amaze.

Oh I suppose they're investigating because they're bored then.

You didn't say anything about an investigation. You proclaimed that the NCAA said that LSU is a shitty program which is incorrect which you usually are.
