They will go into a Tennessee type slump. Miles has sustained success for 10 years including a national title, two SEC titles, and one of the best regular seasons in CFB history. He has also recruited extremely well and continues to do so. If LSU plans on firing him, they better have a big splash (Jimbo) lined up for the job. Tennessee thought firing Fulmer was a good idea and look where they are. We fired longtime coach Tuberville and aside from having a season with the best QB ever and a lucky as hell season, it hasn't turned out well. Firing Les would be a big mistake.

if we wont advice from a dumpster fire we will ask for it.

We have about the same chance of ending up like Texas as we do as ending up like UF.

Tennessee and Nebraska are stupid comparisons considering the recruiting base we have.

My biggest worry in replacing Miles is the culture of lazy shite has rooted in deep like it did in Texas with Mac Brown

Tennessee slumps are rare because ADs are usually too smart to hire a guy like Dooley.

I think it is much more likely LSU goes through a Michigan-style slump- a splash coaching hire that flops, followed by a guy connected to the program who flops, followed by a guy who does even better than Les.

What is the difference between the two? Both hired a flop following their national title winning coach.

I saw Dooley on the sidelines for the Cowboys last weekend and still can't figure out what the Tennessee AD was thinking.

It was the worst hire in modern history. What happened is the AD got turned down a few times and panicked. Instead he should have promoted a temporary coach for a season, and that mistake cost that program five-plus years.

A valid concern when the majority of the team is composed of the same regional/cultural people.

I was all about recruiting in-state guys years ago....but now that 75% of Bama's roster are out of state kids, I think the cultural diversity helps strengthen the team and curb some of the cliques and drama type attitudes.

Y'all just say "Fire!" or "Keep!" Les based on whichever direction you feel like taking the trolling. It gets boring.

That's not a troll post. I am posting my opinion on the coaching of an SEC team.

If LSU fires miles they will do so with a candidate in their back pocket. No way in hell they jump ship without a replacement waiting.

Yesterday, there were four threads on the front page about Alabama basketball. In November. While being the front-runner for an SEC title. The lengths some people will go...

How do you do that and keep it under wraps without CLM finding out though? In the internet world today - folks would be tracking every plane Alleva get on.
