Someone with enough free time to make 40k+ posts to a message board has more free time on their hands to get in this argument than I do, I'll just leave it as congrats on getting Kiffin. Maybe one day lsu will help him get as many playoff wins as Pete Golding, but everyone outside of lsu fans are rooting for him to fail. Just enjoy being the heel

No, think most people, even ole Miss fans would have understood him taking the Bama job. Plus, I think bama would have urged kiffin to handle things the right way.
LSU was willing to let Kiffin coach through the playoffs and is actively letting the rest of the coaches do it. Your AD told Kiffin no. Exactly what would Bama have done more?
I swear some of you live in a fantasy world.

So LsU and kiffin are saying these guys need to be in Baton Rouge for the portal, but they were ok with kiffin himself coaching ole miss through the playoffs? You people are dumb or full of shite. There was no way kiffin was going to be able to be the hc of ole miss and try and make a serious run while being the hc of lsu. It wouldn't be fair to either team. I also think Alabama would have waited until the season was over to be flying his family in town and talking to the damn governor.
Just answer this question, do you think lane kiffin spent the month of November more focused on ole miss football or what he would be doing in 2026? If he was already distracted, was Keith Carter supposed to believe he'd be all in on getting these kids a national championship? No. This idea of him coaching in the playoffs was just idiotic from the start and he only wanted to do it because he thought we'd lose early.

LSU told Kiffin he could stay with Ole Miss through the playoffs. They were willing to wait. Your AD told him no.
I know you don’t like dealing in facts, but that is what happened. Hell, just go look at the Coaching Changes board from those 2 days . LSU fans didn’t want him to do it, but Verge was willing.

Alabama hired DeBoer before he coached Washington in the national title game.

I can tell you why Alabama fans hate LSU so much if you want to hear it.
I'm game. Go for it. I'll hear you out.
Because despite all of Alabama's success, especially under Saban, your fan base can't bring themselves to enjoy it. You only focus on the ones that got away. LSU (and Auburn to a lesser extent) were Alabama's biggest obstacle to getting to Atlanta and, in turn, the national championship ever year. Alabama beat LSU more often than not, but the ones you didn't win stick in your craw something awful. 2019 in particular. I grew up in an Alabama family. I know the mindset, and it is out in the open for everyone to see on this board.

From an Ole Miss perspective, definitely. We play LSU every year for a trophy. Bama is just another really good SEC team since they got rid of the divisions.

It's why they can't mention their 2020 team without mentioning 2019.

Nick Saban retired on January 10,2024, the national championship game between Washington and Michigan was January 8,2024. Deboer was hired January 12th.
I promise guys, understanding how a calendar works can help you in life.

It’s hilarious watching Ole Miss fans throw theirs hands up and skyscream like LSU and Lane are the only ones who would ever do anything like this.
Don’t bother mentioning Sumrall and UF did the EXACT same thing. The only difference is Tulane didn’t throw a bitch fit and not let him coach the playoffs.

Oh wow, Alabama completed a whole hiring search, negotiation, and hire in 1 day?

It was the worst kept secret in CFB that DeBoer had accepted the job. Or do you think Bama and DeBoer worked through the entire process in 2 days?
I know it’s tough for you, but don’t be dumb.

I've witnessed Alabama fans (who I may or may not be related to) dog cuss Nick Saban coached teams from the first game of the season to the last until they won the national championship. Criticizing every mistake. And then when they finally won it say, "Well Okay. We did what we were supposed to do. What else is on?" They literally cannot enjoy it. And it's on full display here.

Are you retarded? We are letting the coaches continue to coach Ole Miss, what more do you want?
