think his best choice depends on his recovery. If he heals up before the draft (in time to have a good workout/pro day), he should go this year. If not, he should come back to bama for the scholarship and coaching but not participate (redshirt).
I don't even want him to come back and play. I just want him to do what's best for him.
Honest question. Would Bama honor another year on scholly knowing he'll never play another snap? Especially given that he knows he would still be a fairly high draft pick.
I'm not sure i would expect them to do that

He has two more years on scholarship remaining to play one. The scholarships are renewable every 12 months, but if he wants to come back and redshirt in 2020, they aren't going to pull his scholarship. What kind of message would that send?

The optics of them choosing not to honor it would be obscenely bad. People bitch about negative recruiting and I think that's mostly overblown, but I guarantee that would be used against them in conversations with literally every recruit considering going to Alabama as long as Saban is there.
edit: To be clear I think there is 0% chance they would pull his scholarship

Expert football trainers... good thinking. I wonder if there are any over in Tuscaloosa.
Probably not. If there were they would probably have won a national championship or two.

Anyone else agree?
Or skip draft altogether if possible. Can he do that if he forgoes this year and doesn't play next year?
What if Tua were magildachunks?
If Tua were magildachunks, would he try to turn his life around and get his GED?
Would he stop slapping his dumb arse wife because she burns the fricking macaroni every night?
If Tua were magildachunks, would he try to lose that extra 280 pounds and get back down to a respectable 200 pounds?
Would he panhandle with enough determination and drive to finally get those new-fangled implants so his smile would be more attractive to that grocery sacker at the local store he has had his eye on for so long?
These are really only questions that magildachunks can answer.
Anyone else agree?

Yeah I agree. But schools pull schollys all the time.
But you're probably right.

If you think the OP's premise makes any sense at all, then you are a dumber son of a bitch than I originally thought.

Damn, let the man get fixed before you start planning his future. He's hurt bad bro. Get better buddy

Stay out of this draft. Let Bama think you want to rehab to come back off a redshirt hopefully and get as close to 100%, then tell Bama and Satan to frick off and enter the next draft in 2021.

This kid Tua never should have been playing against LSU more less than shitty State.

Not saying he will but I wouldn't be surprised if his younger brother transferred because of how Bama handled this medical situation with Tua.

What medical situation are you talking about?

Wait, wait, wait,wait...
So now he wasn't hurt against LSU?
He was 100% and still lost?

His ankle may have been a little sore after the lsu game. By the next week, which was yesterday, he was probably right at 100%.
Why do you hate Tua? Is it because he is from Hawaii?

I think he should stay with the program and rehab. I don't think Saban will rush him, if for no other reason if he's reinjured it would look really bad.

I think he comes back to Bama. His draft stock is shot with a broken wheel. He has to prove he can handle the grind of a season to get his money back up in the stratosphere.
