I've never seen Bama fans slobber all over a UT player like this. Interesting.

But, I think a big part of Berry's chances of being a finalist being so low is that Lane refuses to play him in the returning game/ offense.

Also, Monte is playing him as a roverback/linbacker more than anything so far this year, so he hasn't had the opportunity to ballhawk and have big highlight reel plays like last year. He has been an absolute tackling machine though. #1 on the team in defensive tackles AND special teams tackles. For a safety thats crazy. It probably will get him higher in the draft though because it shows how good his overall game is.

That's odd. A program that the Air Force doesn't have? It's usually the Marines that are the last to get stuff.

The other services have always held the Air FARCE as a red-headed step child.

Ask an Air Force guy. My wife's dad is one. They'll tell ya.

According to the Army/Marines/Navy... the Air Force is all about Country Clubs and Golf Courses.

Wait, those are the things you can't blame Smith for?

No, that's not what I said. Re-read my post on page two again. Obviously, if those rumors are true, it hurt, but he still had no chance with the way the line was blocking.

I missed it because I was in Dallas because my brother lost his child. Yes the AF is golf courses and country clubs. The AF base I stopped at in Qatar is called Camp Cupcake by the Marines. I am back in Auburn now...

FWIW, if Tenn was a top 5 team EB would be getting a lot more Heisman love. Which is total BS of course since it's not a team award.

Berry doesn't seem to be playing as well as he did last year.

champ bailey should have won it....

Never stood a chance b/c he played in the SEC, he had better stats than Charles Woodson on offense/defense/special teams, but was never even considered. He plays at Michigan he wins.

I think what you are missing is that Woodson was the best player on a championship team. Bailey's team was a three-loss team. Big difference.

As much as i hate to admit it, Tebow deserved it in 2007.

That is just flat wrong. McFadden was the best player in CFB in 07. He put up Walker and Jackson type numbers. For goodness sakes he carried the damn ball 30+ times against Alabama. Go look at the highlight videos from that season for both. There is nothing Tebow does that McFadden didn't do. The only difference is McFadden could take it 80 yards to the house. Tebow couldn't then and can't now.

But back to the original topic, Eric Berry is the best football player I've seen this year. And since he is the best football player he should win the Heisman.

I think Tebow should win it.
If not then I think some other Gator should win it.

If no Gators win it then the trophy is dead to me.

Tebow might not be able to take one 80yards, but I didn't see Mcfadden throwing a lot of TD passes that year. Tebow definitely deserved it.

Why? Tebow was on a 4 loss team. Not being UGA homer at all, but the Heismann is nothing like it used to be
