That is... well, weird to read. If one defense was good against LF, they were horrible against Henry and vice-versa.
it's almost like matchups matter

Because Wisky has a legit rush defense homie.

Ah, so we can just disregard the rent a wins.

The numbers in SEC play, Power 5 play, FBS winning play, ranked-opponents play all overwhelmingly favor DH. Not to mention his numbers against a really good Wiscy team.
"really good wiscy team".. no way bro you can't get away with that one
SEC play:
LF7 193 carries, 5.77 ypc, 1,114 yds, 12 TD
Henry 286 carries, 5.67 ypc, 1,623 yds, 14 TD
Power 5 play:
LF7 219 carries, 1,319 yds, 6.20 ypc, 14 TD
Henry 299 carries, 1,770 yds, 5.92 ypc, 17 TD
I'm not sure what stats you are looking at but those are clearly in favor of LF7. Yes, Henry has better stats against ranked competition.. but he also didn't have to run against Alabama. Not exactly an equal schedule
Purely because i'm curious.. Throwing out both backs worst game and best game.. (Henry -A&M, -Arkansas) (LF7 -Syracuse, -Alabama)..
Henry 5.9 ypc, 1,655 yards. 20 TD. 280 attempts
LF7 6.48 ypc, 1,466 yards. 15 TD. 226 attempts.
LF7 alternative (-Alabama, -Auburn) 6.36 ypc, 1481 yards. 14 TD. 233 attempts..

Sure. Disregard the rent-a-wins. Wiscy is not one. Syracuse is. Then compare numbers.

Well, the Vandy part was self-evident -- I kind of telegraphed that -- but how did you know I was a douche? It usually takes people at least three posts to figure that out about me.
Oh, and I turned down Stanford when applying to colleges. Just bolstering my douche cred.

If LF7 is better then why is he not being invited to New York? And players have won the Heisman with 8-9 win teams before so the "team around him sucks" argument isn't an excuse.

Wait, so you're saying one tenth of a YPC over-rides over 500 yards and 2 more TDs?
And .3 YPC over-rides 450+ yards and 3 more TDs?
That's not how any of this works. Henry played a much tougher Power 5 schedule as well.

Since the BCS started there have been two 9-3 winners and Tebow at 8-4.
Ricky Williams.. ran for 2,124 yards (5.9 ypc) in 11 games. 28 TDs.
RGIII... 37 TD 6 INT, 4293 Passing Yards, 10 Rushing TD, 699 Rushing Yards
Tebow 32 TD 6 INT, 23 Rushing TD, 4000+ total yards

Right. So what is LF7's excuse for not even being invited to the ceremony if he's better than Henry?

I'm saying that 1.1 > 1.1, yes.
And the yardage advantage comes from more carries. LF7 has a better yards/game.. but he's played in 2 less games. I don't think it's honest to tout the total yardage (while impressive) while other backs played in 2 less games and have ~75 less carries. Give LF7/Cook an additional 75 carries and Henry isn't even in the conversation.

Played two less games (though he has almost as many yards from scrimmage)
Not in the playoffs. You'll never again see a winner who isn't in the playoffs.

So your saying it's legit to tout YPG? Sweet! DH is even more impressive then. Especially when he played more FBS winning, more Power 5, and more SEC teams, and still leads LF handily in each.

McCaffrey would be 2nd string, the whole collegiate world is down when Ole Miss can make a fricking point and people care to fricking listen.

Not in the common opponent games, which the statistician failed to include with the lengthy data. 187 to 154 in Henry's favor.

No he doesn't.
As much as I think he should deserve it, the award is a charade and will only go to a player in the playoffs. Verne decided long ago that Henry would be the Heisman winner, going to the playoffs sealed it.

I'm pulling for McCaffrey because Henry woukd probably have to have his acceptance speech displayed in subtitles
