Heck, I wanted UF to go after Chris Petersen of Boise State even before Muschamp was hired.
They should go for him IF Muschamp doesn't pan out (unless someone hasn't already).

By the SECr logic, he's a terrible coach, so I would expect for them to be happy if he stayed at Auburn for a long while. I think they sense that he's put together a recruiting machine, and it's just a matter of time before Auburn is back competing for the SEC title.

Pat Dye likes Chizik. That will buy him time. If the natives get restless the coordinators will be sacrificed.

I mean who are we going to get other than maybe those 2 Big Ten coaches I named? I guess maybe Pelini? The other coaches at top schools aren't moving. Maybe Holgerson if he improves that team?

Auburn would hire him. They will not watch Alabama own them for long before they make a move. They would hire Petrino no matter what he did if they think it will help stop the crimson train.
