some years being undefeated at 11 games would qualify a team in the SEC to be in the top three, but not this year. Ala's schedule just doesn't merit this honor. Beyond a doubt the Big 12 if the strongest conf.

It will be a long day for the Tide

I don't think Alabama has the defense to slow down anyone's offense in the top 6 maybe top 7. They don't have the caliber of offense as those teams either. I really think Alabama is really more like #6.

If anyone from the SEC plays USC and loses, I think that is grounds to be exiled out of the SEC. We have talked to much smack about the Pac-10 to lose to them. It made me sick to see Florida of all teams to lose to Michigan last year.

Pac 10 and Big 10 have always hid behind each others coat tails, see Michigans BS championship in 98 when they beat the might Ryan Leaf. What a joke. I am not a Bama homer by any means, but I remember in 92 they barely beat La Tech and S. Miss but raped the canes all over the field. Just sayin' anything could happen.

But, we would be able to run the ball successfully. USC's chances to beat Bama would be slim to none. They would get owned on the lines.

Yes, this year too.

Like yours does? Our opponents records are pretty much the same.

1 out of 3, you're right on.
I don't know why USC fans AND some OSU fans feel the need to try and belittle Bama being undefeated and ranked number one. USC lost to a 3 loss team at this point and will need them to lose a 4th game to win their conference.
OSU, also won't be winning their conference and got the shite beat out of them by another team that has to hope they might luck into winning their conference. Not to mention all the crap after last years beatdown to LSU about how this is their year finally, that last year they were young, but this year, they reload and no way they don't win it all.

Alahunter, "opponents" means "opponents so far," and FCS wins weren't counted. In that case, the .396 is accurate. It'll end up somewhere around .430.

Dunno why that would be a weight of teh SEC on bama's shoulders - after all in this scenario the sec champ would be florida right?

I am not belittling Alabama. They have a hell of a team and have accomplished much this year, but I just don't see them as # 1. AS to USC they are ranked about where they ought to be.

I'm not even sure USC could beat Ole Miss or LSU this year.

That is way off base. USC strength of schedule at every place I have visited is much stronger than Alabama. USC is a very strong football team.

USC has only played one good team. And that was an overrated Ohio State team.

And your opponents' records as of today are:
42-51, for a .451. So, tell me how .451 winning percentage is better than .455?
