DING..we have a winner.

Hope so.....

The guy put the T in Tard and has some epic rants. One of my favorites is he's going to flip his house in a couple of years, make big bucks, buy TD, and ban everyone. That's awesomeness right there.

at some point, yes. not this year though. i believe they are going to have a lot of trouble winning the SEC in the next few years, much less the NC. saban is elevating bama to the level of the other top tier football teams in the SEC. the assumption that he is heads and shoulders above the rest of the pack is unmitigated bull shite. nothing about his lifetime record suggests that, even his NC at LSU. there will never be another win streak like under the bear. meyer's not gonna do that well either. it is a different era. the bear got recruits the old fashioned way, even "kidnapped" some. stabler admits to getting a free care even. not to say the bear was alone in this, but he was good at it. back to saban; if he wins one, more power to him. if he doesn't, the show over bama way will be fun to watch. they have turned over their wives, mothers, daughters, bank accounts and their precious heirlooms to him and they demand results. i don't blame them.

Bama fans...not a flame...one person said that a championship in the next 3 yrs is expected...or else...so would you guys consider Saban a failure if you played in it and lost, and this is all you have to show in Sabans tenure about 5-6 yrs?

I'd be pissed about losing in the NC game (i'm pissed anytime we lose) but I wouldn't consider Saban or the program a failure. All I want from Alabama and Saban is to be mentioned as one of the elite programs again and be more competitive like we were under Stallings.

I am full aware that no coach will ever win like the Bear did in this day but we should be a top 10 team every year with Saban IMO.

they are directly correlated. Rivals averaged the top 10 classes for the past 10 years and all of the national championship teams were in the top 10 classes

Auburn won a title in 2004 and did not average a top10 class

After Back to Back recruiting National championships and another top 3 finish, if Bama does not go undefeated and win the National Chmapionship, are they considered a failure and Nick Saban considered a bad coach for not winning with the best talent?
No.

If AU goes 5-7 with a 5-19 HC, are they a failure? No. Chikstink would have over-achieved and should be given an extension.

Not a failure. I'd like a NC, but I'm realistic to know it's hard as hell to win one. As I've said several times, you can't win one unless you're in the conversation. We're in the conversation now and that's fine by me.

4-5 years ago, I didn't think we'd be where we are now for a really long time. Saban could stay 10 years with no NC and I'd be fine. Disappointed, yes. But Saban is the best and I'd know he did the best he could do to try and win one.

This year I don't think we have the O-Line to do it.

I'll let you know what I think next year.

If VaTech scores 2 td's against the Tide, then Saban is a failure.

The NC's will come. Hold your horses.

Man what if 'Bama blows VT away... That would be so fricking cool.

The whole SEC would collectively go: "OH shite... They ARE back".

Hahahahahah

I can't wait. I'm going to lose my fricking mind... 36 days is too long.

Where's the booze? .... HEY!... where is it!?!?!
