Lol. I hope not it would be bad for us and frick y'all, finally beat you in something

There was a positive that came out of that series. We had a total of 9 freshmen or soph play and they said they never experienced anything like that before but that after going through that, Texas A&M crowd (the way they try getting into your head ) wouldn’t bother them as much.

Arkansas welcomed them to Sec rowdy homefield. We are the only team to beat A&M at their house this year so that was indeed a positive coming away from Fayetteville. Hopefully it continues vs Ole Miss again on the road this weekend. Damn, what a brutal schedule to end a season.

Disagree. What he did at Notre Dame which has never been a big baseball program is why Skip hired him. He’s done well at LSU including a natty.

The issue for LSU fans is simple. The entire Sec has gotten in the game. Look, I remember when MSU dominated the conference. Then LSU came along and that was the big series every year. Now everyone has coaches and recruiting not to mention A&M coming in brought more baseball power to the conference.

It may look that way to you but you are wrong. It’s gotten harder to be top dog now in this conference and might as well just get used to it. It’s not changing anytime soon.

#1 That’s a silly comment. Do Kentucky basketball fans accept lesser results now that college basketball is bigger today than it was in the 1950’s? Do Alabama football fans accept less now that other SEC schools have invested heavily in football facilities today as compared to the Bear Bryant days? Of course not, so why should LSU baseball be any different?

#2 Even having made my previous point, LSU fans do not expect to win 5 National Titles in 10 years again. We didn’t make it out of the regional last year and the way things are going we’re not going to make it out this year. If that happens again next year, and I think there’s a good chance it might, then Paul should be gone it’s just that simple. He’s made a number of poor assistant hires, player development has seen a marked drop off, and the team doesn’t have the same fight that Mainieri teams of old had and this is 2 years in a row.

He’s in his 60’s and although he’s given a lot to LSU I don’t believe in keeping a guy around long enough to see a Mack Brown situation where you have to blow the whole thing up for 5 years just to get back where you were.

You don’t get to coast at LSU just because. If he had won the title against Florida 2 years ago that’s a different discussion but finishing 2nd is a long out to the warning track. Paul’s NC was 10 years ago this year. He doesn’t get to live off that forever and now he’s not even getting to Omaha anymore.

Yeah ,in the meantime MSU played for a natty. south carolina won natty, Florida won one or two Nstty’s, Vandy and even Arkansas was a drop away. My point is simple. , Lsu is not the big baseball it once was, You have competition now. The Sec in baseball is every bit as you used to be.

They have the swamp voodoo curse on us. If we take the series I'll be thrilled.

We don’t have any voodoo we’re just usually better. Not the case this year.

It would be par for the course if LSU came into Fayetteville as a straight up dumpster fire and swept one of our best teams ever.
