We were in Top 5 in '71 and lost to Bama 14-7.
We were undefeated and in Top 5 in '72 and lost to Bama 35-21.
We were undefeated and in Top 5 in '73 and lost to Bama 21-7.
We defeated Bama in 1982 20-10 and have won 16 times since then, including 11 times in Alabama.

because Saban left us and eventually wound up at another sec west school in which he directly prevents us from achieving more success.
what's not to hate there?
but really, it's more about the bias officiating over the years, the shady recruiting, the taking of top louisiana recruits at times, and how they often get away with anything and everything. as if having the best players wasn't enough..
there is a lot to admire though from the program they have built. it's very impressive to see all the assistants they have.
really it's because they win. i like them when when they lose.

Bama wasn't even a blip on my radar before Saban. At first I was pissed about it, but I got over it pretty quickly. After that point, I my attention turned to how easy of target Bama fans are to point and laugh at.
As for the program, it isn't hate; it's respect where respect is due and frustration for LSU's shortcomings. As for the fanbase, well that's a different story entirely. It's non-stop entertainment and my response usually varies from humor and light hearted ribbing, to pity and disgust at the things too many in your fanbase do.

I don't understand why you feel the need to lie. Living in Birmingham like you do, people get far more emotional and amped up for LSU than they do MSU or A&M.
The only game that is clearly a tier above is the Iron Bowl, but that was treated more like a joke this year than a serious game.

Good for you! If that is the case why are you so concerned about what LSU fans think about Bama? My feelings about Bama are ambivalent. We play you every year, you win most of the time, but that will never take away my love for my Tigers. Just be aware that the law of averages will eventually catch up with you.
