Not our fault. The SEC changed up our schedule this year.
Normally, we played a East opponent in week two. See UGA 2009 & 2010. For some reason, they put Tennessee towards the end of the season lumped in with Vandy & South Carolina.
Not sure what that has to do with scheduling 3 cupcakes instead of 2?

Not sure why you are apologizing. The way you pig fans fap and celebrate over total yards, you would think yall would embrace beating up teams made up of amputees.
Never seen a fanbase as obsessed over total offensive yards than the pig fans.

It leaves us scrambling to fill open spots on our schedule since they moved our 2nd week game.
Also, we have a top 10 OOC opponent yet again, so I am not sure what your point is here.

Total yards usually means you scored a lot. Scoring a lot usually means you win a lot. Not always true as last year we scored a lot and gave up a lot but still.
Also don't think we are obsessed with total yards. We just aren't used to (and now love) a good passing game.

The whole weak scheduling nonsense some of these other schools bring up is ridiculous. If they weren't all three in a row then no one would care or even know. Florida is playing Florida Atlantic, UAB and Furman OOC this year. That's just as bad as ours but no one brings it up because they are spread out over the schedule.

The same thing happens with them and RPI rankings every baseball season.

Oh my lord.
We're South Carolina, we're really good in baseball for the first time ever...herp...derp

If you want to go to the Weed Wacker Bowl, you have to play as many pussies as you can. Go Hogs.

This is my FIRST POST, and I make no apologies for our victories! Remember that school that beat Ole Miss last year--Jacksonville Something--or that Appaloosa horse school that beat Michigan a few years back?
Our patsies have given me sense of superiority! I look at myself in the mirror, and I give the image staring back at me a knowing glance--a glance that screams, my penis isn't the smallest one in the locker room!
Apology?!

LSU has a wack OOC schedule next season as well, making up for this year i guess.

Cheshire, as a fan, I know you wish they had a more marquee early-season matchup on the schedule, Do you think Razorback fans will start asking for better matchups?
A&M is a late-season constant now and I see ya'll have Texas on the 2013 schedule and TCU on the 2015 schedule.
LSU pooty-poo'd around for a few years with heavy doses of cupcakes and I think they finally heard enough from the fans so that they started looking for better early season OOC competition.
As it stands right now, LSU has Washington in 2012, TCU in 2013 and @ TCU in 2014, then Arizona St. in 2015 and 2016. NC State in 2017, Oklahoma in 2018, @ Oklahoma in 2019, then NC tate again in 2020.

Who is going to apologize for Auburn's weak-arse schedule next year?
LINK
Season opener against Clemson.
Auburn's other nonconference game in 2012 is scheduled for Nov. 3 against McNeese State.
And there is an unscheduled game against ULM.

Trust me, I wish we had better early season matchups but as much as I hate to admit it, Arkansas can't really take those kinds of risks on a yearly basis. I know a large portion of the fan base wants us to play the hardest schedule possible but we don't have the recruiting base to guarantee that we are going to be skilled enough 5 years down the line to win an extremely stacked OOC schedule and be competitive in conference.
In reality, since I know we aren't going to schedule harder, the only thing I would like to see us change(if they weren't joining the SEC) would be to change out A&M for Texas as our annual game in Jerry World.
Although it is interesting that you guys are playing TCU in '13 and '14 because we are supposedly playing them one of those years as well.

Agreed, I like playing 1 good non-con, I don't see the sense in playing 2 or 3 when typically no one else does. Especially when it comes to BCS chances, why even take that risk when teams from other conferences dont?

I want better OOC games as well but I also don't want to have another hard fought battle like the SEC is week in week out. Don't need injuries and we need the practice. USCw a couple years in a row killed us. Doubt it would happen now it just sucks having them all at once.
Posted on 9/16/11 at 2:52 pm to TheCheshireHog
You, Hubba and MT make sense. As a fan, you want at least one quality OOC early season matchup.
At least you don't have that "Houston Nutt Week #2 Open Date" on your schedule anymore. That was stupid. Always felt like the whole world was rev'd up for college football and then there was Arkansas, opening with a pooty-poo and then taking the next week off.
But the thing about the risk is something else. I'd think Arkansas would fare much better against quality OOC teams now than it did with USCw. SEC is at high tide and the most of the ships have risen. Arkansas' has and now it's time to take a bigger bite out of the early season games.
If I was ya'll, I'd start barking louder about it to Jeff Long.
