It used to be a respectful, hard fought rivalry game. Programs and fan bases were, at one time, quite respectful. AU changed that with the Fairley game. Playing dirty with intent to injure and being cheered on for doing it is classless and disrespects the game.

Oh, I am aware JJ is typically a troll. I have actually had a decent conversation with him, though. they are rare, but he is capable.
I wasn't taking him seriously. I did think it was a curious comment, though.

Nah brutha, that's a misread. I played, coached, and now enjoy watching lil'workinDawg balling out at one of the top HS programs in Ga. I have no respect for that nonsense. Nor would I allow it on any team I coached. And I will never cheer for it. That's just me though. I put a high value on honor, respect, and sportsmanship.

Fairley claimed that Ben Jones was going after him on every play. He probably was in all honesty. I mean, that s what happens in football.
But what gets me is why didn't Fairley go after Ben Jones?
All that said....I do tend to agree with the Auburn fans on this. It's time to move on. Continuing to fixate on that play will only cause heart problems.

They went after Nick in response to his dirty play, not the other way around. By the time that mess happened in the 4Q Nick had already taken several cheap shots on AM.
