It could be the perfect hire for your younger fans who do not remember LSU from 79-99 where you won 55% of your games.
It will help restore perspective, shed the sense of entitlement, while restoring your fan base to one who can appreciate the glory years again if they ever reoccur.

Not really or you would have kept Les.
I do think your fanbase would be satisfied with 8-10 wins a season if you passed for 300+ yards a game and beat Bama a couple times each decade.
