Two complete anomalies.

It has been proven over and over that stars is an excellent indicator of talent.

Oh. That's why you're mad.

Actually I am very pleased with Alabama’s performance and absolutely was delighted with LSU’s.

I in fact plan a rewatching the LSU loss later tonight.

The nfl is full of guys that weren’t five stars. Full of players like that

Of course in gerneral higher rated recruits work out. But I would never rate a roster until they start playing football. Then rate the roster

Now who sounds mad.

You accusing me of being mad was a clear case of projecting your anger

This is a straw man. He won’t be there for year three with results like that lol.

Who’s roster would you rather have last year. Cincinnati or lsu. I guarantee lsu had way higher recruiting rankings. But they didn’t have better players.

There is a huge difference between the two. Huge.

I think his point is that there are anomalies every year. And a lot more than just two.

Yes this is true. Coaching matters. In college football it matters more than any other sport besides college basketball.

Would you rather have LSU’s roster coached by Fickell or Cincinnati’s coached by Ogre?

LSU had more players drafted in this year’s NFL draft than Cincinnati. LSU has more projected draft picks on their team this year than does Cincinnati. LSU has a much higher rated roster based on recruiting rankings than does Cincinnati. By every quantifiable measure LSU has better players.

You saying otherwise does not change any of that.

Perkins Boutte Sage Ryan Smith Emory

Thanks for the list. Proves my point.

Boutte - terrible game
Perkins - freshman backup Smith - injured early
Ryan - played ok
Emery - did not play

So basically two of the five were on the field but the rating system linked earlier “credits” LSU with five 5-stars.
